Causes: Arts & Culture, Theater
Mission: The Depot Theatre is committed to providing professional theatreproductions and outreach services to the Adirondack and Lake Champlain region and tocreating a vibrant, nurturing artistic home for diverse theatre artistsin which they can further develop their craft. This strong commitmentto the individual artist is the hallmark of The Depot Theatreexperience. Emphasis is placed on gathering artists who enhance theprofessional quality of Depot Theatre productions, and whose sharedknowledge, sense of humor and respect - for the playwright, fellowartists and audience - enriches all. The Depot Theatre is furthercommitted to the preservation of its 19th century building so that itremains part of the historic and cultural landscape of our region.
Results: We have a new Managing Director working with our longtime Artistic Director and an active and creative Board of Trustees. We are all looking to the future growth and outreach of the Depot Theatre.
Target demographics: Anyone interested in the development of new theatrical works while paying homage to the great repertoire of existing plays and musicals.
Geographic areas served: North Country, Adirondack Mountains, Eastern Upstate New York
Programs: Live professional theatre productions. Affiliated with Actor's Equity Association.
