Her calm, gentle, spirit-led guidance allowed me to release those things that no longer serve. The guided meditations she shared offered me the ongoing support I need to continue my journey of love and joy. Thank you Marcia!

The non-profit organization is truly remarkable in its mission and impact. It dedicates itself to addressing critical social issues, providing support to underserved communities, and fostering positive change. One of the most amazing aspects is its ability to mobilize volunteers and resources effectively, creating a ripple effect of generosity and kindness. :)

I am a huge fan of Sunnie Rose Berger for several years now. I rarely miss the Friday Schmooze zoom meetings. I can always rely on her for finding resources. Recently she’s been helping me look for a job. And she send available food banks around the LA region. Her medical updates with guest speakers are really informative. A wonderful group to be a part of in my life!

I was a digital counselor (which took 6 months of training and testing) for almost 3 years with Trevor and thought I was doing great, never a complaint from staff, which ended this January (2024) when I was unexpectedly taken off the system with no notice or notification. Please see the note I sent, that ended up with a lovely call from a Vice President who asked me to follow up in the spring, I did and have heard nothing back. This was a heart wrenching situation for me and has taken away my love for serving this community, work that I thrived on and was so proud of this person having called me eventually as I sent emails trying to figure out why I was suddenly blocked from the system, I thought it was a technical issue, and was finally escalated to a VP. I don’t understand how I could be a successful digital counselor for almost 3 years and suddenly be torn from the system with no notice, I thought I was doing so well, and I loved the work. I miss working with youth in crisis, I was always so proud of being part of Trevor and to be summarily dismissed for unspecific reasons has been a huge hit to my confidence in helping in any non-profit organization. I knew that had management issues, I had no idea this kind of cruelty would be aimed at volunteers. <br>

This charity is truly remarkable. I've had the privilege of fostering for them in the past, and their dedication to helping animals is truly inspiring.

Coding can empower anyone to create, better themselves, and have an impact on the world. So we might expect to see universal interest in this skill. The huge gender gap in CS raises the question: How many girls never realized they had the opportunity, the potential, to be a programmer? <br>By giving girls access and exposure to coding skills, Code Her World shows them that opportunity. Organization members also get the chance to strengthen their own skills through teaching. I'm especially impressed by their emphasis on live, interactive teaching and in-person events. If you want to help girls realize their potential and contribute to a stronger, more equitable CS workforce, consider getting involved with CHW!

Thank you Trans Chorus of LA and everyone involved or supportive in any way shape or form. What an amazing group of people! I am so honored to be a part of TCLA! I came to auditions this year not knowing if I had what it takes to sing in a chorus. I am so happy I did! This has already been such an amazing experience! The community and support I have found is such a blessing. As a Transgender woman I am honored to be a part of TCLA. Being involved in the chourus is helping me continue to build the courage I need to go forward with my life. Thank you all so much!

Dr. Susan Love's focus is on the possible causes of breast cancer and continually recruits people to participate in studies both in person, email or by phone. As a breast cancer survivor, I feel a responsibility to spread the word about this organization and encourage people to get involved.

I am a volunteer experienced in orphanage care and management. As a volunteer with Kitechild, I was able to travel to Mexico to visit a couple of member orphanages with the staff. <br> <br>I witnessed meetings between the founders of Kitechild and various orphanage directors. The Kitechild team maintains close professional relationships with the orphanage directors. They collaborated with the directors to brainstorm sustainable solutions to address some of the directors' biggest concerns for their children. <br> <br>One of the orphanage directors in Tijuana explained that their electricity costs were close to 1/3 of their budget. The Kitechild team built out a project to bring solar energy to the home, allowing a large percentage of their budget to be reallocated towards food, healthcare, and education. They tailor fit this simple solution for the home. The is going to greatly improve the quality of living for their 65+ orphaned children. <br> <br>I have years of experience volunteering for orphanages around the world that were not connected to the Kitechild network. They lack the knowledge, time, and bandwidth to build an internet presence. Orphanages are the last to receive training on best caretaker and child psychology practices. They're the last to learn about solar energy and other clean energy options as a way to free up the funds in their very limited budgets. The children they care for are often emotionally disturbed and/or mentally or physically disabled, yet orphanages high an extremely high turnover rate. Orphanages - as a concept - have the potential to provide a child with the stable, loving environment that is so necessary for the healthy growth of a child, but their lack of resources, knowledge, and connectivity more often than not prevents them from reaching that potential. <br> <br>With the ultimate goal of improving the lives of orphans in a permanent way, Kitechild addresses these problems on a global and local scale. The Kitechild network connects orphanages around the world to donors, training opportunities, and other orphanages. The Kitechild sustainable projects target a specific problem at an orphanage and looks to provide lasting solutions to the problem. <br> <br>I am so impressed with the way that Kitechild is revolutionizing orphanages' status in the world. Their projects are feasible, affordable, lasting, and provide a huge value to the orphanages and most importantly, to the children in them. As a Kitechild volunteer and donor, I have been thrilled to receive updates on their work and see real changes taking place because of some small donations. <br> <br> <br>

I have been volunteering with Under The Bridges and On The Streets for a couple of years now. The work this organization does is unparalleled. <br> <br>They make lunches for the homeless and then go into the streets, down the alleys, under the bridges and in abandoned areas of Los Angeles and to deliver those lunches to those that are in need. They also deliver clothing and personal care items when available. <br> <br>It's an incredible organization that I am proud to be a part of!

I live at Triangle Square and this place has saved my life. Thank you GLEH for all you do and making my life complete. I have been home bound now I have new friends and a safe affordable place to live with people like me
