Coding can empower anyone to create, better themselves, and have an impact on the world. So we might expect to see universal interest in this skill. The huge gender gap in CS raises the question: How many girls never realized they had the opportunity, the potential, to be a programmer?
By giving girls access and exposure to coding skills, Code Her World shows them that opportunity. Organization members also get the chance to strengthen their own skills through teaching. I'm especially impressed by their emphasis on live, interactive teaching and in-person events. Code Her World is an amazing program that helps people learn to code. It works to fill the gap where women in stem should be. I am incredibly excited to see this program as it grows. As a feminist, programmer, and student, this program brings me much joy. The impact this program has had is astonishing.
CHW is an awesome nonprofit! The two founders have done a great job setting up a platform to help people learn to code. They’ve put together the materials from scratch and have expanded to include students from around the world. They also have a great set of board members to help support their operations.

Code Her World has expanded to bring computer science experiences to so many aspiring female students in the world. Their engagement of high school students to intern with them to develop their own personal skills and also make an impact on others around them through planning and conducting various camps, hackathons, and events just truly shows the impact of this organization.
