The Blue White Scholarship Foundation is a great organization. They have helped me and my family tremendously over the past year. The Foundation provides Villanova students like me with the opportunity to pay for their college education outside of financial aid, helping to close the financial gap. The community of scholars who receive the scholarship is really close, too, and we all genuinely care for each. I recommend supporting the Blue White Scholarship Foundation as a donor or applying for the scholarship if applicable!

Hi my name is Carlos Morales Portalatin and I have been part of the BWSF for the past year. With this scholarship’s support, I was able to confidently enter my junior year at Villanova in my pursuit of my passion for computer science. This scholarship has allowed me to focus more earnestly on my studies than I otherwise would have. Not just that but has also afforded me the time to become more involved on campus, as a member of the Wildcat Crossing Committee and W.I.S.E (Working to Be Informed, Studious, and Engaged). Ultimately, I believe this scholarship has been tremendously helpful in allowing me to better immerse myself fully into my college life this year both academically and socially without the constant burden of financial concerns.
BWSF has had a tremendous impact on my Villanova experience. As a Pell-Eligible student, paying for college entirely on my own has been an uphill battle. Despite Villanova's scholarships and grants, there is still a substantial amount left to pay. Through the BWSF, I have been able to focus more time on my academics and personal development, increasing the value of my education and impact I've made on the community.
The Blue White Scholarship Foundation has helped me receive a world class education. I am so thankful for the amazing people behind the scenes who work to help young adults gain access to resources and education to make the world a better place. I am incredibly thankful for Blue White Scholarship Foundation for all they have done for me and my family. In challenging financial times in junior and senior years at Villanova, they lended financial assistance and provided a network of peers for whom I am so grateful. Because of BWSF, I was able to focus on academics, rowing at the varsity level, and volunteering as a coach. These opportunities would not have been possible with financial burdens. In addition, they continued to support me with network connections through graduation. I am incredibly proud and honored to be a member of a legacy of individuals with great work ethic and academic excellence. I am especially thankful for Kate Cellucci for her dedication to the foundation and building camaraderie among us scholars. Thank you so much Kate and BWSF!

The Blue White Scholarship Foundation has proved an unbelievable help to financing my education! A college education is costing more and more every year even for the most hardworking students. The Blue White scholarship has played a big role in allowing me to pay for my college education. I am extremely grateful for everything Blue White has done for me, and I can't wait to pay it forward in the future!

Blue White Scholarship Foundation has been a lifeline these past two years of Villanova and has allowed me to continue to focus on my education without the added pressures of a full-time job. I have been able to accept dream internships, including at a PR agency in Denver and currently with the Vatican, that I wouldn't have been able to accept otherwise. It has been such a blessing to me and my family, to lessen the burden of loans as I prepare to graduate this coming spring.
I am a 2nd generation volunteer to this amazing foundation. From its inception, the Blue White Scholarship Foundation has always been about reducing (or eliminating) the stress and burden students encounter trying to finance their education. Unique to the BWSF is its focus on current students who have experienced a hardship and are at risk of having to suspend, or in some cases, stop their academic pursuit all together. Who can’t empathize with the awful feeling of coming so close to fulfilling a lifelong dream only to have it taken away due to circumstances that are usually out of your control? The BWSF is a foundation that distributes 75% of all donations and funds raised. Story after story, the BWSF has helped young men and young women finish their education with a belief that charity is not some far off esoteric concept. It is a helping hand that sets you on your way to all your education can bring with the belief that someday you will be the one paying it forward to future students.

My name is Anna Dos Santos and I am a junior pre-med Biology and Spanish double major at Villanova University. The Blue White Scholarship Foundation directly impacted my life last year when I became a recipient of one of their scholarships. Being able to attend Villanova has been an immense blessing in my life, however the burden of student debt is enormous and has caused a lot of stress in my family. When Blue White took the time to hear my story and open their hearts to provide me with a scholarship, I became accepted into a family of scholastic, generous, and amazing individuals. Not only have I been provided with a scholarship, but BW has created a family for me. The other recipients have become good friends and an even better support system for me while I have been at school. Additionally, this foundation has helped me network with Villanova Alumni to receive and even be accepted into internship programs at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. To say the least, I am proud to be apart of this family and cannot wait to see everyone again in the fall.
I am so thankful that the Blue-White Scholarship Foundation has been there for me throughout my senior year at Villanova and has welcomed me into their community. The Foundation "bridged the gap" and helped me to complete my final year of studies without having to take out private loans. I look forward to continuing to "Pay It Forward" as I stay involved with the Foundation after graduation.
The Blue White Scholarship Foundation is the lifeline that I needed entering into my junior year at Villanova. As a scholar, I have been able to continue to be a part of the Cheerleading team and dedicate myself fully to my academics and athletics. I am so grateful for Kate and Joe and everything they have done for me and my family. This scholarship is truly such a blessing and I am so proud to be a part of the BWSF Family! This scholarship truly helps Villanova students in need!
Blue White is truly a fantastic organization. They understand the need that students have for aid and are genuinely committed to our well-being, even beyond the financials. They organize events for the scholars to interact with one another, meet the donors who have helped further their education, and give back to that have done so much for us. They provide unique opportunities and fill a need that is very often overlooked. After freshman year, financial aid significantly decreases and the few scholarships a student may be fortunate to have earned are spent, leaving them with the choice to shoulder the burden of additional student loans or leave behind the friends, communities, and achievements they have had at Villanova and transfer to a less expensive college. All of us Blue White Scholars have had to face this choice, and this scholarship helps ensure that our decision to stay at Villanova was the right one.
The Blue White Scholarship is extraordinary. This fund is one that truly cares about the students and reducing their fears about the cost of bettering their lives through education. The scholarship is for the students and pays attention to our needs and keeps up on how we are doing.
The scholarship also connects students with one another and creates a community of hardworking students who need extra help. This connection with other student creates an outlet for them and a way for students to make a difference for the next generation.
As a mother of three full time college students, I can not thank the Blue White Scholarship Foundation enough for their generous scholarship to our daughter.
The pledge or promise our daughter has made to give back in order to receive this donation is important to us as a family. To know that one day our daughter will be in the position to pay it forward and help a future Wildcat attend college is priceless. Thank you Board members and donors we are grateful!!

The Blue White Scholarship Foundation has made the difference in my ability to get my degree! For the last 3 years I have had to work 5 jobs to try and cover my tuition. While my parents have been able to help, both have experienced financial insecurity that has limited their support. At different points throughout college both parents have lost their jobs and my dad has suffered from severe health problems. The Blue and White Scholarship Foundation stepped in and helped me when there wasn't any options left. I can't thank them enough for what they've done for me!

After meeting the scholarship recipients and leaning first hand how the Foundation impacted their lives I knew I wanted to get more involved. I am a current Villanova MBA student and was able to work with the organization for the semester and present ideas and recommendations to help the organization spread their message. Blue White Foundation is bridging the gap for students to able to graduate from Villanova University and will continue to do so with the support of donors.
We worked with Blue White for an MBA project. Kate and team are extremely dedicated to improving the lives of students and ensuring they can reach their dreams of becoming Villanova graduates.
The Blue and White Scholarship Foundation is an organization with a unique approach to a common problem. After identifying gaps between student financial need and the aid provided by Villanova, this foundation began to help bridge that gap. Inspired by Ben Franklin's idea to "pay it forward", this foundation is entirely donor funded with great support from past donors. It is both inspiring and gives me a great sense of pride to benefit from these donations, and I can't wait to contribute after graduation!

I am a junior Villanova nursing major, and I decided to go into nursing because I am passionate about what nursing aims to do: treat people and strive towards health and wellness from a holistic perspective. My goal is to someday continue on to get my doctorate and become a nurse practitioner. The Blue and White Scholarship is helping me to achieve this goal and helping many other students achieve their dreams and goals as well. Moreover, every recipient of the scholarship pledges to "pay it forward" to the next generation of students at Villanova, and in this way the Blue White Scholarship Foundation turns one gift into a gift that keeps on giving.
The Blue White Scholarship Foundation is a truly special and unique non-profit that has been serving the Villanova community for decades. Rising tuition costs are leaving behind middle-class students and jeopardizing the American Dream. Receiving the scholarship has afforded me the opportunity to peruse my passion at college without an overwhelming financial burden. By helping “bridge the gap” between academic and financial capabilities, this scholarship allowed me and countless others to realize the true value of the Villanova education which we have been blessed to have access to.
The Blue White Scholarship is a lifeline to students struggling with the rising cost of tuition. As a scholarship recipient I am beyond grateful for BWSF and the donors who made it possible for me to pursue my dreams.
What separates this scholarship from others is the Ben Franklin pledge signed by scholarship recipients. Students pledge to give back to others the kindness that was bestowed upon them by BWSF. I personally am excited to give back in the near future!
The Blue White Scholarship Foundation truly changed my life and I am very grateful for that. I always had to work a lot outside of school to support myself and many times I had to sacrifice time that I could spend on studying on working to pay my bills. The Blue White helped me to drastically decrease the financial burden I was exposed to. I thank Blue White for understanding my circumstances and letting me focus on my education. Their generosity inspires me and gives me strength to be on top of my academic career. Thank you.
The Blue White Scholarship has helped put students, like myself, on the path towards graduating from such a prestigious university like Villanova. As a recipient, I have had the opportunity to see first hand just how much of an impact this scholarship has on students. Not only does it relieve some of the financial burden of the cost to attend Villanova, but it opens up many more doors through the Nova Nation network. The Blue White Scholarship Foundation in itself is a strong community of Villanovans who are willing to help others and "Pay it Forward." So while yes it is a scholarship, it has been that and even more to me. A gracious and willing community that I look forward to joining for future Cats!
As one of the recipients of the scholarship this
year, I am profoundly grateful for the generosity of the Blue White Scholarship Foundation. Without the Blue White Club, it would have been difficult for me to make my ends meet during my senior year at Villanova. Along with the scholarship, one of the most invaluable aspects of this foundation is the networking opportunities. Through BWSF, I had the opportunity to speak with donors and learn more about the accounting and finance industries. I hope to be able to "pay-it-forward" in the future so that I can assist others in the same way that the Blue White Scholarship foundation helped me.
Blue White is an amazing non profit that helps students that are working their way through college. They have an amazing network of Villanovans that are looking to give back and help students enjoy Villanova as much as they did!
Hi, my name is Rita and I am a second-year scholarship recepient. What makes Blue White so unique is its desire to directly impact the lives of students. By donating to Blue White, you can help bridge that financial gap that students experience AFTER exhausting federal loans.

The Blue White Scholarship Foundation has had a huge impact on me. When my family was struggling to pay for my final years at nursing school, BWSF stepped in an helped bridge the gap for us so that I could complete my nursing school and focus on my schoolwork, my job as a Staff Supervisor--Head Resident Assistant, and my volunteer efforts within the community, rather than focus on the financial strain of trying to pay for my schooling.
So, thank you BWSF for giving me some financial space to find time to do the things I always dreamed of doing in college. But even more importantly, thank you for giving my family some peace of mind that we so desperately needed. I'm so grateful for your support and guidance in my last year at Villanova University.
Blue White is amazing! Blue White helped my family in a time of need and I am excited for when I have the opportunity to pay it forward in the future. THANK YOU!!!
My name is Kayla Quigley and I am a senior at Villanova graduating this upcoming May. The Blue White Scholarship Foundation has been a huge help in funding my education this past year. I have had numerous summer jobs, am a work-study student here on campus, and have loans to repay after graduation, which makes me so grateful for this foundation and all its donors. In addition to financial assistance, the Blue White Scholarship Foundation is also an opportunity to connect with other Villanova alumni who were past scholars, as well as make a lot of great friends with the other students on scholarship. Again, I cannot express my gratitude in how much the Blue White Scholarship Foundation aims to help all students involved!
I am a second semester senior at Villanova and the Blue White Scholarship Foundation has tremendously helped fund my education these past two years. I worked 2 on-campus jobs and exhausted the amount that I can take out in loans. Without the help from this organization and its wonderful donors, I would not have been able to make it to where I am today, being a part of the inspiring Villanova community. Blue White helps many students like me to receive our degree in order to excel in the real world. The new mentor program has connected me with many professionals at various companies and helped me get a summer internship after my junior year, which led into a full-time opportunity after graduation. I am so thankful for the Blue White Scholarship Foundation and its continuous efforts to help fellow Villanovans reach their full potential!

Being a part of the Blue White Scholarship Foundation has not only been able to lift the financial burden for me this academic year, but has also connected me with a group of kind-hearted and motivated individuals and peers. Kate Cellucci, executive director for Blue White, works tirelessly to help grow this wonderful organization. The fellow scholars I have met exemplify the character and drive of Villanova University. I am forever grateful for the community of people that are a part of the Blue White Scholarship Foundation and also their dedication to helping students who really need it.
I was a senior track athlete set to graduate Villanova University in 1983. My senior year I was $1500 short of my $14,000 tuition and had no way of funding the gap. The second youngest of 5, my dad had just lost his teaching job at a Catholic HS that was about to close, I had no way to meet that gap and thought I was not going to be able to complete my senior year and graduate. I went to the financial aide office to explain my predicament. I was told there wasn’t anything they could do as all the monies had been allocated. I was maxed out on the amount of student loans I could take...I was devastated.
Next thing I knew, a few weeks later, I received an updated statement from the University. Listed on my statement was a $1500 grant. To this day, I don’t know where that money came from, but I am forever grateful for being able to complete my education at Villanova.
When I became involved in the Blue and White Scholarship program, my heart soared as I felt I could now pay back (or forward), the generosity given to me all those years ago. What better way to help fellow Villanova students, the ones that hardly anyone “talks” about. Those that are fighting to complete their education due to financial challenges and family hardships.
The Blue and White Scholarship Foundation’s vision to create a world where no student should have a financial hardship that prohibits them from completing their undergraduate degree, is a vision that I heartily share, having experienced that hardship myself. It’s an incredible vision, to close the gap, while at the same time, upholding the values of good moral character and accountability as each recipient sends thank you letters and agrees to “pay it forward” when they are financially able to so and help future Villanova students in the same situation. Each and every time I receive a personal thank you letter from a recipient, not only does it bring me back to how I felt in 1983 as a, yes, a desperate, despairing student, but it gives me HOPE in the future for that student and their life long contributions as a graduate of Villanova University.
Blue and White is near and dear to my heart and the long lasting positive impact it has on the recipients is proof of what an incredibly worthy cause the program is.
When you read the credentials of the recipients of the Blue White Scholarships and the financial hardship many of these students face I, for one, would want every deserving candidate to fulfill their education and dream. They are truly exceptional individuals both in talent and character. I know, personally, the value my scholarship financial aid provided in allowing me to participate fully in the Villanova college experience and wish to reach out to help these capable students. With the exorbitant college costs today it is more imperative to help these talented individuals fulfill their education and become productive members of our Country. GO NOVA !
My father VU c lass of 33 was denied his. S cholarship and had to work his way through college so when the Blue White Scholarship fund began under Bob Capone we both thought it was the right fit for our charitable contributions. Helping junior and seniors remain in school is a great cause. My father passed away in 2000 and his donations continue through his trust. I am proud to be a contributor to the Blue White Scholarship Foundation.
Blue White scholarship is an amazing program that is crucial to many Villanova students like myself. Two years ago, my father fell, hit his head and suffered a traumatic brain injury that put him in a coma. This placed heavy emotional, mental and financial burdens on me and my family, but Blue White scholarship helped alleviate the stress of trying to pay for college. Executive director Kate works tirelessly to grow the scholarship foundation. Scholarship recipients must apply for the scholarship, provide teacher and employer recommendations, and commit to volunteer for the foundation to "pay it forward." This extensive process ensures that the scholarship is going to the most deserving students.
The Blue and White Scholarship is critical for student's like me who's financial aid doesn't quite cover what we need to pay for our education. Since becoming a Blue and White Scholar I have felt blessed with financial assistance that I needed so much but also because of the wonderful people it has connected me with. The director, Kate, is one of the kindest and most hard working people I know. It is so evident how much she and everyone else in the organization care about what they do and I know we as students are so incredibly grateful for their hard work. Unfortunately, there is a huge need for scholarships in our community and I want this organization to continue to grow and help out even more students like it helped me.
i have been a member of the blue white scholarship foundation for over 25 years and i board member for three years. we have ONE paid employee and our executive director kate cellucci does a GREAT job. raising money for students who START at villanova and run short of funds. we helped fifteen students this year and many went UNAIDED due to lack of dollars from donors. in giving to b/w you know EXACTLY where your funds are spent and we have a plan going forward. john maguire'61
The Blue White Scholarship Foundation is both a great group of people who do a great deal of good for Villanova Students but as is a family of people who support students and help them achieve their dreams. For me, the Blue White Scholarship Foundation was instrumental in helping me to continue my studies without accruing an insurmountable financial debt going into medical school and also in connecting me with current professionals in the field for networking and mentorship. I can not say enough good things about this foundation!
The Blue/White Scholarship Foundation is an extremely worthwhile and beneficial nonprofit organization. It's an organization that truly makes a difference in the lives of young aspiring leaders in providing financial assistance to students in need. Also, it is transparent and accountable of donations collected and distributed. I've attended numerous fundraisers over the years and what stands out is the personal interaction of the students who received assistance. These students are appreciative and humble and cannot say thank you enough to the donors and respective board members. Major General (R) Randall Marchi
I have been associated with this charity for over 35 years. it is composed of dedicated graduates of Villanova University who have been helping Villanova students for over 43 years! The most recent changes in the leadership of the Board of Directors and Officers of the Foundation has resulted in major improvements in the communications between the Foundation and Villanova students, between donors and Villanova students, and between current and past recipients of scholarships. Year by year, the Foundation is growing its donor base, benefitting more and more students, and continuing to raise awareness among more and more Villanova Alumni regarding the economic plight of middle-class students pursuing a private Catholic education.
My husband and I have no affiliation with Villanova except for our friendship and great respect for Kate Celluci, the Executive Diector of BWSF. She has impressed us with her incredible passion, determination, and indefatigable work ethic for the foundation and the students it serves. We are proud to have become donors for this great organization and the highly worthy students it serves. Kate has shared many examples of the struggles of the students and how deserving they are. Any donations to BWSF is money well, well spent.

Coming from a middle class family, i received some financial aid to attend Villanova, but not enough. Working during the school year, over the summers, and applying for loans helped. getting ready to graduate i was notified that my account was delinquent, and i would not be able to graduate unless my bill was paid. I had no money and neither did my parents. Fortunately a good friend was able to lend me the money and we graduated together. Trying to give back and helping those who need it to complete their goal at Villanova is something i want to do. Some years I am able to give more than others, both to BWSF and Villanova, and I will continue to do so.
After struggling with many student loans, I was incredibly grateful to have received a 2016 -2017 Blue White Scholarship Foundation Scholarship. This organization not only helps students to graduate from college, but it also provides bonding experiences that epitomize what it is to be a Villanovian. I am honored to have been a part of this organization, and I would urge everyone to consider working with the Blue White Scholarship Foundation.
The Blue White Scholarship Foundation is an incredible nonprofit organization striving to bridge the financial gap so that students can finish their college career. Without the Blue White Scholarship Foundation, I would not have been able to graduate from Villanova University, my dream school. I am so appreciative of everything the organization has done for me, and I would highly recommend it to everyone. A wonderful organization backed by kind sponsors who truly care for their students.
The Blue White Scholarship Foundation is a group of generous individuals dedicated to bridging the gap between the financial aid Villanova can offer and what each student really needs in order to receive a college education. The Blue White Scholarship Foundation has helped me shrink the financial burden placed on my family, especially during these years when we have two students in college simultaneously. I am immensely grateful for the passion demonstrated by this organization and for the financial assistance I have received that allows me to study at such a wonderful university.
The Blue White Scholarship Foundation offered me a scholarship when I really needed it. Since becoming a BW scholar, I've met other students whose families were just short of being able to pay Villanova tuition, many of them due to family medical issues like mine. Now, I have a community of peers and graduates who have helped me with everything from raising tuition money to networking for jobs and graduate programs. This is the kind of foundation I always wished existed but never believed I would be able to find!
My son received a scholarship during his senior year at Villanova. I was so impressed not only by the kindness and compassion the foundation staff and volunteers showed but by the stories of perseverance and resourcefulness of the scholars being helped. I truly believe this group is helping to build the next set of great world citizens and leaders that will help spread much greater impact on humanity at large. If you want to amplify the impact you are making I would consider investing in these scholars
I became a Blue White Scholar this past Summer (2016) when I was just beginning a writing internship at SAP. I was ecstatic to be able to chip away at the student debt I have accumulated over the course of my time at Villanova. The leadership in the organization truly cares about what students go through in order to receive a proper education and pulls out all the stops to assist us on our journeys . I really enjoyed the barbecues and social gatherings held by the Blue White Foundation where I got to cavort with fellow scholars as well. Specifically, I enjoyed the Homecoming Party that the Villanova Jazz Band played at. I took my girlfriend and had a great time listening to good music and eating good food. It was also a great opportunity to network with established professionals. I left with three business cards! Fantastic organization. Could not be more thrilled to have received a Blue White scholarship.
The Blue and White Scholarship Foundation is driven by good hearts. It recognizes ambitious students like myself, who work multiple jobs, yet still fall short on tuition. As the last of seven children, I never had the luxury of a college fund. Fortunately, The Blue and White Foundation has helped meet some of the tuition gap, making my dream of getting a college degree possible.
When there is only so much financial aid to be given out, that means there will be many students whose need outweighs their aid. That's where Blue White comes in, and they do it so well. Blue White helps these students - middle class, hard-working, and in need - and helps them graduate when no one else will. With their help, I graduated and am now in law school. Someday I will give back because I can think of no better cause for those looking to help students in need.
I was happy to join this organization after I received a scholarship during my final year of college at Villanova. The Blue White Scholarship Foundation truly believes in the greatness of its scholars and the Villanova undergraduate community as a whole. They are an incredibly caring group of individuals that really do care for the success of its scholars and who's mission is to make it possible for every student to graduate so that they can make an impression on the world. After graduating, I was joyed to join the organization as a member of the board such that I could help pay it forward and make it possible for other students facing financial difficulties to graduate.
I left Villanova with considerable student loans. Like most kids graduating, it took me many years to finally pay these debts. And I was fairly lucky, I had a partial scholarship. When Kate asked me to be a member of the Board of the BWSF I agreed as I recalled how difficult it was to finish my own degree (because of financial hardship). The students who receive our scholarships are all kids who have proven themselves and now need just a little help in completing their degrees. The best part is hearing about how successful they become after graduation. The team at BWSF are dedicated and passionate. They work very hard at making this charity successful in giving to needy students. Anyone who donates should know that this is a legit organization whose number one goal is to see Villanova students go on to do great things.
The Blue White Scholarship helped me tremendously. Without the scholarship I received, I would be unable to graduate due to financial concerns. This is an amazing scholarship fund for an even more amazing group of students who need help when ends just don't meet for school tuition. Go 'Cats and go Blue White!
As a Villanova graduate school alumnus, I had not had the privilege of hearing about the Blue White Scholarship Foundation (BWSF) until a co-worker brought me to a summer event in 2014. What I found there was remarkable: steeped in history, rich with other fellow Villanova alumni who truly care about their ability to ensure another generation of scholars receive the same Villanova-quality education as they had, and purposefully lively with BWSF undergrad scholarship recipients who will without a doubt upon their graduation make the entire Villanova community proud to be cut of the same cloth, this organization was truly living their passion for ensuring another generation of top Villanova students--who happen to have encountered financial gaps--would still be able to earn the degrees they so clearly deserve. Today I am proud to be even more involved in such a foundation and help to "pay it forward" by connecting others who have the same belief in ensuring that financial difficulty need not be the hurdle that prevents education with those very students who genuinely excel in their studies and deserve our backing to earn their degrees. I encourage you to learn more about this organization and assist in any way possible to further their worthy cause.
