Almost 14 years ago I was invited to help get a set ready for a production at Little Theatre. It was my first time ever being around a theater. I felt welcomed right away and over the years have gotten involved in many varied activities that don’t require acting in front of a paying audience. (I’m quite happy to read for an actor who can’t make a particular rehearsal.) I enjoy the creative process of brainstorming and collaborating with other volunteers to bring a play to life. New volunteers are invited to dip a toe in with small commitments of time or jump in with both feet.

I have been a member of The LTWW for most of my life. It's one of my favorite places, and I will always encourage people to come volunteer. We produce incredible shows and I've met some of my best friends through this theatre.

I recently began volunteering with the Little Theatre, helping to breakdown and build sets, as well as doing some maintenance work around the building. The Little Theatre is a great community asset, with a great, supportive cast of characters!

Talent abounds in this community and the opportunity to share those talents is easily available through this theater. We’ve been attending shows for the past 20 years and are always entertained. Folks can be as involved as much as they’d like from simply attending, volunteering in some capacity, or performing onstage. It’s a great way to spend an evening.

I have been actively involved with this theatre for the past two decades. I have made many friends while working backstage and even appearing on stage. I like the intimacy of a small theatre and am amazed that we have so many talented people (both actors and workers) in our small community. Thanks LTWW for keeping live theatre live!

This “community theatre” really is about community. It continually reaches out to the local community to encourage involvement both on stage and off. Many of the community volunteers have been active within the theatre for years because once they walked through the door they felt like they had found a home populated by a diverse, interesting, and caring group of individuals. All are welcome no matter their level of expertise. All that is asked is a commitment of time and energy. Of course monetary donations are always welcomed—this is a non-profit after all!

I've been involved at Little Theatre in a broad variety of ways in past twenty plus years. We are, by no means perfect. I've seen involvement with the Theatre lift people up, fulfilling and enriching. I've also seen us fail others, creating bitterness and enmity. During my time here, I've seen people brought to tears in both good ways and bad ways. At the moment, I feel like being honest. And, in all honesty, we are not perfect.

But, despite all of that, there is so much more good for me than bad that I love the place. I have friends in so many of the people. I feel pride in belonging to the organization. The Little Theatre grounds me, and helps to center my life.

Even though I am a long standing member of the Little Theatre I am still amazed at the quality of productions that occur at this theatre. It is the only theater in town that offers a venue for local people to exhibit their talents. It operates almost entirely on volunteer help, with only one paid employee, which helps to help the costs down and live theater accessible to a greater number of people.
The Little Theatre is considered amateur theater because no one involved in productions are paid, but the plays it puts on are anything but amateurish. It is a real asset to the community.

I grew up in Walla Walla and remember the Little Theatre of Walla Walla being a staple of me and my families life. As I got older I discovered the joy of theatre and became active there, having had the opportunity to be both behind the curtain and in front of it, I have always enjoyed my experience. As a community member and audience member I look forward to attending productions and seeing the wonderful stories so lovingly brought to life. If you are looking to try theatre, get involved with a community theatre, or simply want to catch a show and be entertained I highly recommend a visit to the Little Theatre of Walla Walla.

The Little Theatre of Walla Walla set a lofty goal this summer doing 9 different productions over 10 weeks (there was a holiday week in there). There was a variety of different kinds of productions: one act, game show with local actors as different famous people, love letters compiled from famous historical figures, etc. It was so much fun to watch and for me to participate in several of the shows. The excitement of having people in the theatre and performing on stage live again was so fulfilling for all those involved. Way to go Little Theatre!!!

I have been volunteering with the Little theatre for over 25 years and have found it to be a fun and artistically fulfilling experience. For a small community theatre, The Little Theatre produces amazingly well done productions.

I was shocked the first time I saw a show at the Little Theatre. The quality was so far above all my expectations, I knew that this was something I wanted to be a part of. The Little Theatre has consistently put on fantastic shows and is always entertaining. Folks could do a lot worse than seeing a Little Theatre show.

I've attended Little Theatre shows regularly over my years in Walla Walla, marvelling at the magic of community theater done well, which is exactly what the Little Theatre does.  And in recent months as a volunteer and new board member I've come to appreciate the impressive talents, teamwork, innovation and dedication of the organization's volunteers.  Even in the midst of a pandemic, the organization's volunteers have produced safe entertainment for Walla Wallans: the Radio Hour Alfresco series in Fall 2020 and this year's Summer Festival.  The Little Theatre is a precious gift to Walla Walla's theatre-goers and to those seeking a community of fellow theater volunteers, and I'm glad to be part of it in a small way.

The level of professionalism in plays presented by the Little Theatre is second to none. I have enjoyed attending and working on many Little Theatre plays over the last 30 years. Whether one wants to be a volunteer usher, act in a show, help with costuming, work on house and grounds, there's a place for you at The LTWW. I highly suggest you come try out the family at The Little Theatre of Walla Walla.

Literally dozens of volunteers give hundreds of hours each year in order to create a venue for people in the Walls Walla community to showcase their talents in acting, singing, directing, stage design, lighting design, costuming and all types of " backstage " skills. Although it is considered amateur theater (no one gets paid) the productions are anything but amateurish. The Little Theatre has been producing high quality shows continuously for 76 years and is considered a " treasure" among the residents of Walla Walla, Washington.

So many great volunteers have helped the Theatre so it can be around for years to come. We are looking forward to its reopening!

I discovered the Little Theatre when I was in college, and it charmed me immediately! It is small, intimate, and full of unbelievable talent. It is the hidden gem of the Valley.

Since my discovery, I have spent a lot of time at the Theatre and stand amazed at the history - 75 years of a volunteer-run organization that operates professionally with a large amount of fun! The Little Theatre of Walla Walla and other places like it are the types of organizations that make communities great.

I work as a volunteer for The Little Theatre. Some non-profits do not seem to want older volunteers, but The Little Theatre works to use all people interested in volunteering. I have had the privilege of working in a few different capacities; box office, usher, and usher coordinator. I often help my son when he is working on projects. The Little Theatre brings quality entertainment. The shows always impress me. They work to provide a place in shows both on and offstage for new comers as well as those who have been faithfully involved for a long time. I look forward to my time at The Little Theatre and hope to continue to volunteer for years to come.

I have been very impressed with the way The Little Theatre of Walla Walla has handled the world pandemic. This organization is vital to the Walla Walla community. It continues to provide quality entertainment. They have increased their outreach into the community and are working toward the ability to create programs for children. This organization has existed for 75 years. The continue to run in the black, which speaks to strong leadership.

I have been involved with the organization for almost 30 years. I believe the theatre works hard to provide quality entertainment while creating space for people to use their gifts toward a common goal.

The theatre has gone through some major changes over the last few years and it is in transition to reach out more to the community and meet the needs for the community.

The Little Theatre has delivered quality entertainment to the Walla Walla Valley for 75 years and that in itself should say something for the strength of the organization. Most of those 75 years the theatre has been ran strictly by volunteers. We run in the black, but in our course to not owe any money we have failed to fund raise for the purpose of updating our facility. This is a process the theatre is looking very closely at. The Theatre has hired it's first Managing Director who is responsible for helping with Development, Volunteers and Community outreach.

The board believes we are moving in a positive and growing direction which will help position the theatre to continue in through another 75 years.

I began getting involved with LTWW several years ago as a volunteer (actor, set builder), and was immediately embraced by and engrossed in the community. It has quickly become a home away from home for me in Walla Walla, full of wonderful, deeply committed people. LTWW has a rich history in Walla Walla stretching back for 75 years now, and is in the thick of modernizing itself for the next 75 years. Guided by a new strategic plan, a new full-time managing director, and a clear vision for desired improvements to the theatre, there's never been a better time to get involved with the Little Theatre!

Four years ago, on a whim, I decided to audition for a show. I got a part and never looked back. This theatre feels like home to me, and the people my family. We work hard to put on the best show we can and have a great time doing it. Now I am a board member, committee member, actor and costumer. I’m proud to be a part of this amazing theatre family.

This theatre has provided great shows for 75 years of which I have been a part of for the last 35. The people running this theatre are very welcoming and are always looking for new volunteers to help put on productions whether it is on stage, behind stage, ushering, designing, or anything associated with running a theatre. Each show produced is so well done. You can't go wrong by purchasing a season ticket or volunteering to work on a show. Come find out about The Little Theatre of Walla Walla.
