This Shelter has helped 100's of homeless men and veterans secure permanent affordable housing for the 9 years of its existence, I know personally because I am one them, who arrived there no income, health benefits and a mental illness. Mr and Mrs Mitchell and the staff helped me to secure these things and acquire the much needed skills and support to sustain them. I've not been homeless since, 2004. God bless them.
I became homeless in 1989, and after that traumatic experience with very little help from community organizations, my wife & I opened the first and only homeless shelter for men & veterans in rural Thomasville Ga. offering an array of housing and supportive services, that ends a persons homelessness, unlike Metropolitan homeless shelters we do not have check in @6pm and a check out @ 6am rule. A homeless man comes to our shelter and begins in short-term shelter stay to long-term until they have secured permanent affordable housing.
