My humble little experience with Loves Animal Rescue is quite easily the best experience I have ever had with a rescue agency. I had been searching for the right pup situation on and off for a couple of years. One day, a friend had pointed me in the LARS direction, after hearing of a number of unpleasant experiences I had encountered while on my pup search. I was immediately drawn to the work the agency does. Not only are they tirelessly rescuing an endless population of pups in need, but they are so transparent and very responsive to any questions or concerns. After a conversation with the wonderful woman who runs LARS, she introduced me to a video of this little dude, and I instantly knew, he was THE one! My application went in and within a couple of days, I was informed I was approved to offer this nugget a forever home. Quite easily the best news I've had in years! After that point, LARS was very responsive to any questions or concerns I had, kept me up to date on all of his check ups and shots, and even sent me some photos/videos while I anxiously awaited him to be avaliable for transport! <br><br>The day finally came to meet the little guy at the airport, and I was lucky enough that Yesenia, the woman running LARS, was his transporter. I am so glad I was able to briefly meet her, not only to thank her in person for all she does, not only for my adoption, but for all of the pups she cares for... but also, I was able to really see how genuine her love and care for what she does is. After dealing with a few sketchy situations in my quest to adopt, this agency is a breath of fresh air, and a true gem. The services they provide to animals in need in Puerto Rico is truly endless and noble work. <br><br>Macklin, formally Chester, has been the sweetest addition to my home. He came to me at nearly 3 months old, already so smart and you could tell he was very much loved and taken care of by their amazing foster support system. Not to mention the VERY reasonable adoption fee given the circumstances. The care doesn't end at adoption either. They take a genuine interest in the continued well being of their crew and have been there to answer any questions I've had about general pup stuff along the way. <br><br>Moral of this story, I am now a forever supporter of this agency because of who they are, and how genuine they truly are. I can not thank them enough for helping save my best friend. He has been the highlight of this year without a doubt. He loves adventures, making new pals, being sweet, and napping like the prince he is! I would recommend a Sato to any home, and I can not sing the praises of Love's Animal Rescue loudly enough!
