Mission: Founded in 2016, the Neurodiversity Foundation is a nonprofit built by the neurodivergent, for the neurodivergent. We exist to advance dignity, access, and opportunity for autistic and otherwise neurodivergent individuals—by building tools and systems that reflect our lived experiences and affirm our value. Our work is guided by the belief that neurodivergence is not a deficit to be fixed, but a natural and essential form of human variation. We center neurodivergent voices in every initiative, challenging stigmatizing narratives and replacing them with frameworks rooted in self-advocacy, identity pride, and capability. Through the generous support of donors, we lead two transformative, tech-powered support systems: My ND Guide™ – A first-of-its-kind, AI-powered neurodiversity life coach and companion, available 24/7/365 at no cost to users. Developed by neurodivergent doctors, behavioral specialists, and engineers, My ND Guide offers emotional regulation tools, sensory strategies, and personalized guidance for work, relationships, and everyday challenges. It is designed to adapt to each user’s communication style, learning preferences, and sensory needs—meeting people where they are, whenever they need support. NeuroCares – A neuroaffirming healthcare initiative that connects individuals to free or low-cost services including therapy, primary care, and medications. Every provider in the NeuroCares network is trained to accommodate sensory access, preferred communication styles, and trauma-informed care principles—ensuring healthcare is safe, respectful, and affirming. We evaluate every program through a lens of empowerment, not pathology. Rather than trying to “fix” neurodivergent minds, we focus on fostering environments that recognize their strengths and remove systemic barriers to thriving. With support from mission-aligned partners like Benevity, we are rewriting what support looks like—creating scalable, culturally responsive systems designed by neurodivergent people, for neurodivergent futures.
