The founder reached out to me to lend verbal support when I started communicating a desire to launch an Accessible Community Garden. After a false start, I re-committed to the project. I was able to attend my first River City Days Festival and saw the Disability Support International booth. The founder and I met in person for the first time. During that conversation I found out the crew had arrived home in MN around 1am from Cambodia and were setting up their booth at the festival around 8am. Anyone with that passion, work ethic, commitment, tenacity, energy - oh, I forgot to mention that she was also expecting! No one with those qualities, that character, is ever going to waste a penny of your money and is going to provide the support they say they will to the disability community at large!
