Mission: Eskie Rescuers United grew out of the need to find adoptive homes for the ever-increasing number of unwanted or improperly placed American Eskimo Dogs. Eskie Rescuers United is comprised entirely of volunteers that assist in the rescue and placement of American Eskimo Dogs throughout the United States and Canada. Eskie Rescuers United participates in nationwide placement of dogs, shipping them to homes in other parts of the country. Additionally, a great deal of ERU's efforts is directed at educating the public about the breed. ERU's goal is to avoid American Eskimo Dogs ever ending up in a rescue by educating people that are considering the acquisition of one of these dogs.
