Mission: The NHRA Motorsports Museum is organized for charitable and educational purposes. The museum obtains, cares for and displays items of lasting interest or value relating to the history of automotive speed and style in all its forms. Collection areas include the sport of drag racing, the pursuit of land-speed records, automobile customizing, performance motorsports, and more in a facility that is open to the general public. The museum sponsors and carries on activities that foster a better understanding of the history and development of the American hot rod and the people and industry associated with them.

Programs to educate and excite the public regarding the science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics that are an integral part of the American hot rod story.
Production of the Annual California Hot Rod Reunion and the Holley National Hot Rod Reunion which celebrate the history and culture of American hot rodding. The Reunions include vintage drag racing, a car show, vintage parts and memorabilia swap meet, specialty vendors, and a chance for fans to meet the legends and stars of the sport. Each Reunion includes the highly popular "Cacklefest," a mass ignition of Nitro-methane powered historic race cars.
