"The HUBZone Council promotes the federal Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) Program and provides education and assistance to Program small businesses and HUBZone communities through webinars, annual conferences, and ongoing educational session where small businesses learn how to become certified as a HUBZone, engage with federal government decision-makers, pursue and win contract opportunities and perform well on those contracts. Countless companies, communities and families have been able to increase their income and develop a strong economic basis as a result. of the HUBZone Council's efforts."
HUBZone Council, Inc. is part of THE lead HUBZone Advocacy council. This Council not only supports HUBZone Companies, but focuses on the root need and cause for the program - support of Historically Underutilized Business Zones. The HUBZone Council provides opportunities for jobseekers in low-income/HUBZone communities to share their resumes, which are then shared with a much wider network. This effort is directed to support the intention of the Governments HUBZone program, and does so in a manner consistent with the intent, and utilizing the expertise of professionals in the industry. The opportunities provided are potentially life-changing for an individual, and have a lasting effect on the local community - supporting additional economic growth within these historically underutilized business areas.
Michelle Burnett, and her team exceed all expectations as a matter of practice- supporting individuals, communities, industry, and the Federal Government in an unprecedented manner.
To Michelle and her team,
Five years ago I was hired by my firm as their Director of HUBZone Operations. It was a new position and there was no one to guide me. I was tasked to get the company HUBZone Certified. Gad it not been for your tireless assistance I do not believe that I would have succeeded.
You were always there whenever I had a question on how to proceed to make it happen and now that we have been certified for a number of yeas, you have always been there whenever a new question or concern comes up.
Thank you,
Stanton Pratt
3002 Surveying recently joined HUBZone Council, and immediately found value. The Executive Director is a wealth of information, and she helped provide us great information in regards to how we could pursue our HUBZone certification. We also receive lots of critical information regarding HUBZone legislation and other news, that we would not be able to receive anywhere else.
The mission of the HUBZone Council is providing resources to job-seekers in HUBZone communities and helping HUBZone businesses source the workforce needed to grow. It's a win-win. As a bootstrap grassroots organization, the HUBZone Council has already delivered beyond its financial means and proven itself a competent and reliable resource for those seeking work and those seeking workers.
The HubZone Council helped me find remote work, so that I could be a stay at home mom with my twins.
Working with members of the HUBZone council ,to find better employment, the opportunity of a lifetime became available. With their support and guidance, I interviewed with the CEO for the open position and was offered a full time role. The opportunity and place of employment have changed my life for the better! The members of the HUBZone council really supported me and my mission and were always there to help guide me. Without their support and their workforce program, I would not be employed with the AMAZING company that I work for now. The workplace culture along with pay has made a dramatic positive impact on my life. As a single Mom it can be difficult but being able to work at a place that treats you well and compensates you accordingly can, will, and does make life more positive!!
