It is my privilege to serve the Lord by volunteering my time to GMO.
In Isaiah 6, God said, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” God had a mission to be completed on Earth and He needed someone to do it. Like Isaiah, I responded through GMO, “Here am I Send me!”

In a world of confusion and fear, guidance is often needed. We can easily be misdirected by the culture around us or by the brokenness within us. So many lonely and desperate people in this world need God’s love and GMO provides so much guidance and interaction to all who are in need all over the world. How thankful we can be that the Spirit of truth has come to give us the guidance and we have a place with GMO to spread the Good News.

I have been a volunteer for a number of years and find it the most wonderful work to do. Not only am I blessed by the friendships of other online missionaries, but am most blessed by the seekers who write! I now have friends from India, Nigeria, Uganda, UK, Vietnam, Myanmar, Greece, S. Africa, Morocco, and so many other places.

Because GMO is so important to millions around the world, my husband and I are also donors. This ministry is so deserving of support in its great efforts to bring the gospel to people all over the world.

Volunteer – Online missionary:
I have been trained how to share my faith in Christ at church, but rarely was able to find anyone interested in discussing spiritual matters.

Since I became an online missionary with Global Media Outreach, every day I look forward to interacting with real persons somewhere in the world concerning the Christian faith and service. Many of the persons I write are returning for more help, information, or help with understanding a scripture.

It is very encouraging to see some of these people come to understand what it means to be a follower of Jesus. What’s more, I find my faith has been strengthened. GMO has provided me a safe way to share Jesus with individuals around the world. I love truly love the work in the fields of the world from my computer keyboard. GMO is God's provision and answer to prayer for me to preach the Gospel to peoples of other nations in loving obedience to His command to Christians in Matthew 28.

Volunteering with Global Media Outreach has been so rewarding in my personal life, because my faith has been strengthened - I went from spending my evenings on ebay to sharing the Gospel message with seekers from around the world – literally! It is as though I am sitting across the table from someone in Nambia and I am sharing MY faith and the Gospel!! Frequently people write with prayer requests and I respond and pray for their need and so many times I get a response thanking me for my prayer. Sharing the Gospel message with those from around the world is not difficult when I am able to log on with my iphone, android, laptop or pc – all I need is internet access. All volunteers are trained and I always have the support of a leader should a question arise. I would recommend this ministry to anyone who desires to share their faith with others. Ruth_W

My desire to be a missionary began as a pre-teen, but health issues made that dream impossible until I found GMO. From leading a teen to the Lord to encouraging a young man as he takes his first steps into becoming a pastor, this ministry has not only given me an opportunity to grow in my own faith but to experience being used of God to help others do the same in their lives. To reach behind borders where I would never be able to go in person and hear their testimonies of God working in their lives is rewarding beyond anything I could have imagined. Because of this, I am also a donor to GMO, and have the double blessing of watching God put these funds to work in real time.

Even though I’m a retired professional – caring for an aged mother and a handicapped son, keeps us from being able to travel to different mission fields around the world. Global Media Outreach totally eliminates that restriction. Sitting at home at my computer – I have ministered to people from 125 countries, in the few years I’ve been an online missionary for GMO. I’ve enjoyed a part in seeing many people’s lives changed by the power of God as they surrender their lives to Jesus Christ. I’ve also watched many Christians grow in their faith in amazing and beautiful ways. Through GMO, we can – and are reaching the world for Jesus Christ.

I heard about the Global Media Outreach program through my church and was happy to be accepted as a volunteer Online Missionary. I have written to people from all over the world! I had always wanted to be a missionary and am one now...from the comfort of my cabin on the side of a mountain! It has been a wonderful opportunity to tell others about Jesus and help them develop a relationship with Him.

I have been an online missionary with Global Media Outreach for several years. When I found out how donations would allow those seeking the truth of the Gospel to be reached, I decided to start a monthly donation. I realized that my donations would allow people to be able to hear the good news of Salvation over the year. I realized that since I am unable to go on missionary trips, then this would be my missionary journey.

Knowing that I am being used to further the word of God is such an amazing feeling. I am so happy to be a part of the GMO family, donating my time and money for the Lord. This way I can be used in several ways to further the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This is one of the best investments of time and money I can do.

I learned about GMO from another Online Missionary at a Missions night at my church. I signed up that night and found myself in training within a few days. I have been so thrilled to be able to serve the Lord in a global ministry from my own desk at home. I started as an Online Missionary, and have moved through a few levels of leadership in the last few years. I still disciple the seekers who come to me, and help them to grow in their faith. I also help other leaders to help the volunteers under them. I have come to love the people I minister to online, and also to love the leaders I work with, who all simply want to see the lost come to Christ. Many times the seekers who write to us are desperate for God, as they come to faith, or are growing in faith, and have no one else to help them learn how the Lord wants them to live. We as OMs have that chance to build a relationship with those seekers, supply them with discipleship, encouragement, prayer and the love of Christ. I live in the USA, but I have new brothers and sisters all over the world who I love dearly and pray for every day. I have grown in my own faith, as I watch the Lord answer prayer and provide for His people.
