I learned about GMO from another Online Missionary at a Missions night at my church. I signed up that night and found myself in training within a few days. I have been so thrilled to be able to serve the Lord in a global ministry from my own desk at home. I started as an Online Missionary, and have moved through a few levels of leadership in the last few years. I still disciple the seekers who come to me, and help them to grow in their faith. I also help other leaders to help the volunteers under them. I have come to love the people I minister to online, and also to love the leaders I work with, who all simply want to see the lost come to Christ. Many times the seekers who write to us are desperate for God, as they come to faith, or are growing in faith, and have no one else to help them learn how the Lord wants them to live. We as OMs have that chance to build a relationship with those seekers, supply them with discipleship, encouragement, prayer and the love of Christ. I live in the USA, but I have new brothers and sisters all over the world who I love dearly and pray for every day. I have grown in my own faith, as I watch the Lord answer prayer and provide for His people.
