I have been using Challenge Enterprises of North Florida for many needs. They provide shredding in a fast, safe and comfortable environment. They also provide food to area residents weekly and monthly provide commodities to the local community. The employees go above and beyond to be of help. I would recommend the company.
I have had the personal privilege of working with Challenge Enterprises of North Florida, Inc., which recently celebrated its 50th Anniversary, nearly 25 years as a benefit advisor for their AbilityOne Contracts, employing individuals with significant disabilities.
During this time, I have witnessed the growth of the agency as they provide working opportunities and job training for hundreds of individuals with disabilities that are simply striving to work and live independently.
As a benefit advisor, Challenge Enterprises not only provides individuals with an opportunity to develop jobs skills that allow them to be self-sufficient, but they also provide each employee quality benefits that allows them to have affordable access to healthcare as traditionally offered in the private sector.
I shave spoken with many of their employees over the years and they are never shy in sharing how appreciative they are of the opportunity provided by Challenge Enterprises of North Floridia that allows them to be productive and self-sufficient contributors in their community.
To Challenge Enterprises of North Floridia, "Thank you" for all you do and serve in your community.

Club Challenge has become an important community of friends and mentors for our adult autistic son. It offers vibrant, pertinent activities and programming, and the leaders genuinely care about the participants. If your young person with intellectual challenges wants to seek employment, they can help with that as well.
This organization is an outstanding asset to our community. I find them at so many businesses and places doing work that makes differences. These differences are not only great for business but also the people working and involved.
I’m so glad that Challenge Enterprises area part of our community
I was blessed with being hired by Nancy and Katie in 2007. From day one I realize that I had been blessed to receive this job because every one there treated me like I was family. But not just me the entire company treated each other as family and that attitude comes from Nancy, Nancy has taken this company/mission to levels that anyone that knows Challenge Enterprises knows what a compassionate and caring person she is and at all times she is thinking how she can make us better people/employees. I know I said employees but Nancy never thinks of us as employees we are family. I worked 14 years for Challenge and they were the best years of my life. I have worked for small companies and large corporate company and none of them make the place I call home, not working place I wanted to come to, to be able to help person’s with what ever challenge they had make there life better. Nancy is a compassionate and caring, true Christian disciple who is not afraid of sharing the good news!!! All of this was made available to me by the entire staff at Challenge. Thank you.
Challenge enterprise is an amazing non profit that has helped countless individuals and with physical and mental disabilities! My younger brother has been with Challange Enterprise since the stated. He was one of their first clients. He’s led a remarkable and wonderful life because of this organization. Staff are the most professional and caring people. Leadership is solid.
The projects and advances that are completed by this organization are beneficial to the participants and community. It grows constantly and is in a progressive direction under its Dedicated CEO and staff.
I’ve known and dealt with Challenge Enterprise for a long time. They are a great organization. They help a lot of people with different abilities, that would not have a chance in life if it weren’t for them. They help their community by giving back. I thank Challenge Enterprise for what they stand for and what they do for others.
I moved to Green Cove Springs last November and I was looking for a way to meet people and get to know my new hometown. I have been battling Parkinsons Disease for 19 years and have severe social anxiety. I came across Challenge Enterprises of North Florida and toured the facility and learned about and watched all the amazing things that they provide to the community. Simply phenomenal!! I have gone to several of the Bingo events and had a wonderful time and hope to get more involved. Everyone in this Organization are sooo very kind. Top Notch!!
I’m a previous employee of Challenge Enterprises and enjoyed working with my coworkers and all the clients in which I came in contact. This organization has always been at the top with assisting men and women with all their needs and making them feel part of something greater!

I have known Nancy Keating, CEO of Challenge Enterprises for over 45 years and she lives and breathes to serve the clients in this organization. Anything, and I mean anything, they need, she finds a way to make it happen. From fund raisers to field trips to work opportunities, she and her staff, make it a fun experience.
My favorite is the bingo fundraiser every month. I even have a group of my coworkers join me every time. We love to attend even when we don't win!
Hearing Nancy speak with so much love and admiration for the special individuals involved in this organization, is so inspiring!

Our son is 21 years old and has autism. Prior to finding Challenge Enterprise he had trouble holding a job because his supervisors didn't understand his challenges or the best way to communicate with him. It was frustrating because he is a great kid! He is a very hard worker, committed and dedicated which is hard to find these days. Since we got connected with Challenge our son is flourishing. He loves his job and can't wait to go because he feels valued, respected and is a key member of the team. His self- esteem is at a record high and that positive vibe is spilling over into the rest of his life. We are so thankful for Challenge Enterprise.
Challenge Enterprises of North Florida has been an absolute blessing to my family and especially my son!!! Cawley is a bright, friendly, sociable and handsome (I’m a little biased) 21 year old. It also happens that this wonderful young man is autistic. He is a high school graduate and when he graduated, he took a job at the K-8 school where I have worked for 10 years. Everything was perfect! He loved his custodial job, loved the kiddos and seeing his teachers from elementary and middle school. Then IT happened…… COVID! I was teaching from home and Cawley lost his job.
Four months into the quarantine Cawley was depressed, angry and emotional. He tried a few other jobs but companies, coworkers and managers who don’t recognize autism or “differences” in abilities are often frustrated or downright mean. Cawley walked home from his last job in tears….. some one had called him stupid and yelled at him in front of customers. He hit the lowest of low and for the first time in his life he felt hopeless.
That’s when we found Challenge Enterprises! When I tell you they saved his life…. I am not exaggerating. His managers, shift leads and coworkers have a mutual respect and true friendship with each other. They understand and recognize Cawley for all of his abilities and all the amazing things that he brings to the table. He goes to work happy and ready for new challenges…..he is proud to be a member of Challenge Enterprises and looks at every new day with pride! Thank you Challenge for you dedication to all people with amazing abilities!
Challenge Enterprises has been such a lifesave to my cousin family. With an 18 year old son and nothing to do with his life, Challenge picked him up, gave him a place to stay, gave him a job, and gave him a purpose in life. I love what they have done for so many challenged individuals. YEAH CHALLENGE ENTERPRISES!
Challenge Enterprises of North Florida is an exceptional non-profit that goes far beyond in all areas helping individuals with disabilities achieve and maintain meaningful employment
I love work with challenge enterprises doing commodities each month I wish I could work with challenge
Challenge Enterprise is an amazing organization, they are focused on delivering solutions to our community. The organization is well managed and sets the high water mark for other non-profits in the region. Dynamic, focused, and mission driven. I highly recommend Challenge!
I have work with challenge for a few years now. I love what they do for our community and our disabled community. Promoting the power of people and possibilities!
I worked with Challenge Enterprises telling their inspiring stories through video and photography. They’ve helped so many people of all ages, and I continue to see the good they do in the community.
I have volunteered for this group since I was 12! I've known some of the clients for years watching them thrive with how much love and care Challenge puts into each person!!! From shred for good to their tree farm to working at the NASJAX commissary. Holding tons of benefits and events. A wonderful non profit that anyone and everyone should be proud of!!
Challenge Enterprises is extraordinary - from the people at the front desk to the personnel in the back who collect the residential shredding, they have been more than polite, professional and well deserving of support. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs a professional shredder with integrity, who is doing a marvelous service helping those in need. You will not only get a professional job, you will be helping them to help others.
I have been attending the Challenge Enterprises monthly bingos since I found out about them. Every time I attend, Nancy Keegan amazes me when she speaks of what she has been doing with these young people. She is such an amazing woman and I truly respect her and want to support this very worthwhile organization. I recently found out about the shredding and I love to be able to participate and support this. Keep up the great job you are doing Nancy - you are a priceless gem!!
Our contact with Challenge Enterprises continues to be Shred For Good. The people we meet every time we go there are pleasant and professional from the first step into the office to driving away with all our important no-longer needed papers in capable hands.
Other observations - the office and processing area has always been organized, clean, friendly folks to help and look at the ratings these folks have received over the years - All 5 Stars.
Knowledgeable, professional, friendly. First time I have ever trusted our shred to anyone and I was pleasantly surprised with the ease at which it was done.
I use this organization for my shredding needs because of their mission to serve and provide jobs for people with special needs. There service to the community is empowering and shows their commitment to an all inclusive world .
I just cannot say enough about Challenge Enterprises. Having grown up with a Special Needs person, I enjoy being able to see that an organization does so much for people in need. Their paper shredding service is quick and easy to use and the employees always greet you with a smile. Keep up the good work Challenge!!!!!
Challenge Enterprises has a wonderful service called "Shred for Good," a superb opportunity to SECURELY get all your paper shredded! I have used this service for years, and have never been disappointed! Before I discovered Shred for Good, I went through three shredders at home. The staff is friendly and helpful. The service is free for residential customers; for business customers a fee is charged. Residential customers can drop off their bags/boxes of papers to be shredded on Tuesday and Thursday mornings between 10 and 12, and can feel confident that every single paper will be shred in a secure manner. Although the service is free to residential customers, a donation is always appreciated. Another advantage of using Shred for Good is that it employees people with disabilities. I am so thrilled that Shred For Good is available for me!
I became aware of CE a number of years ago and was immediately impressed with their organization and efficiency of operations. I have truly enjoyed meeting some of the folks that work there and especially some of the young people who work out in the community assisting other not-for-profit organizations. The community is a much better place with this organization in place!
very kind and helpful people. My husband died and had kept documents for 25 years. It was a relief to know that I could have sensitive and bulk documents shredded at your facility. I will continue to come here for my shredding needs. thank. you for being here for our community.

I have been fortunate to find Challenge Enterprises and Shred for Good in Clay County. The business is one of my favorites as it employs people with disabilities and empowers them. The shredding service is so secure and convenient.
Wonderful Agency that provides opportunities for individuals with disabilities to realize their potential.
All the employees from the receptionist to the people that help transport all the documents to be shredded are courteous and professional.

What a great organization. My experience with them began three years ago when I was referred to them for shredding of personal papers. I had just closed out My Moms and Wife Trust and had lots of paperwork to shred. I drove to Green Cove Springs and they did all the work. Before I could even grab a bag of paperwork they had my Suburban unloaded and placed in a locked large can container. Very professional, efficient, friendly and courteous! Did I mention awesome! In this day of Identity Theft, make sure you visit Shred for Good often!
During a complex housing move, Challenge Enterprises assisted me in disposing of files no longer needed over decades of time. They did it with very secure efficiency.
I take all my junk mail and old important documents to these wonderful folks. We see each other about every 6-8 weeks. The receptionist always has a smile, and we swap stories while I fill out a short questionaire. You drive the paper to the back, they will lift the paper from your car, and you are on your way!
A politician when once told about Challenge Enterprises programs for training people with disabilities and providing them with jobs replied "that's taking jobs away from real people". Discrimination has no part at Challenge Enterprises. Challenge Enterprises helps real people ! It gives them, training and life skills development, resulting in self confidence and the ability to support themselves. It gives them pride in what they do, it gives them a joy in being who they are. The Community also benefits from the services Challenge Enterprises members provide be it lawn care, paper shredding, or in finding valuable employees trained by Challenge Enterprise to do jobs for the joy of working and doing a job well done whether that person was born with a handicap, or received a handicap as a wounded warrior or by way of an accident.. Challenge Enterprises is so important to this community that is proudly helped by people from many civic organizations and from people from all walks of life. I know about Challenge Enterprises because of its members who go to our church, and in various ways they have helped many individuals.
Challenge Enterprises has been instrumental is aiding and assisting families of those with disabilities in Clay County. From the school-aged student to adults entering the work force, Challenge Enterprises works with each person and family to find the right situations for the person to aid in personal fulfillment for a life time. Challenge Enterprises is highly sensitive to the person-centered approach and dignity for all. They offer many, many options for people; this is not a "one size fits all" organization. If you can dream it, you can do it! This organization truly does change peoples lives!
I've used Challenge Enterprise several times over the last two years for my personal shredding needs. They make the process so simple and are always quick, efficient and friendly. I would recommend Challenge Enterprise's Shred for Good program to all individuals and businesses in need of shredding services.
Challenge Enterprises is a great place i have had a very good experience. I enjoy everyday coming to work and all the opportunities this company offers. I have learned a lot. Challenge Enterprises mission to help our individuals and the community is great.
Just because Challenge Enterprises is located in a small, sleepy Florida town, doesn't mean it's not a super non-profit organization. Several years ago, I was looking for a shredding organization for home business and personal documents that charged a reasonable price. Much to my delight, I found that Challenge Enterprises, through its' Shred For Good organization, would provide shredding services free to the community on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Wow, I thought, what a great community service. Then upon using their free services, I discovered that they hire people with disabilities who would have little or no opportunity with other companies in their area. Another great community service. I know of many good non-profits in the greater Jacksonville area and would highly recommend Challenge as a great non-profit. They are definitely on my top ten list and should be on yours. Thank you. Roll out the drums and blare the trumpets loudly to recognize an incredible non-profit organization hidden away in the small community of Green Cove Springs. Challenge Enterprises of North Florida, Inc, deserves local, state and even national recognition for their love of community and services provided to the larger community of Jacksonville. I had an older family member have her identity stolen because she placed some personal bank information in regular recycle. Since then I have used the Free Shred Services of Challenge Enterprises and really appreciate their commitment to the community by offering these services. They hire the disabled and less fortunate thereby giving them a sense of pride and accomplishment in their lives. Lighthouse Learning Center offers structured preschool training for all children up to age 5, whether they are typically developing or have a disability such as Down's Syndrome. Kudos to Challenge Enterprises of North Florida and a big shout out of 'THANKS" for all you do for our community. Norma Jean May

I am really inspired by the work I see Challenge Enterprise does for the community. I have gone to several local events and I'm amazed with the difference Challenge makes with the people with disabilities. I have been working with Challenge Enterprises for close to 10 years and it is "someplace special." It is a happy, caring organization and it brings joy to all who visit.
I have taken advantage of the free shredding service several times. It's a great help to have a place to shred household documents without having to spend a lot of money and I truly appreciate it.
The Challenge enterprise group homes, ADT and support staff set the bar high. The individuals they serve have a wonderful life, great staff and lots of activity choices. They truly have a full life thanks to Challenge.
I read in the Times Union that Challenge Enterprises in Clay County, would delete personal household documents ( old tax statements, bank records, even junk mail etc) free of charge, every Tuesday and Thursday. Since my little shredder could not handle all the old documents, etc, I decided to try their free service
I was very surprised how easy the process went when I arrived to deliver my documents.
The Receptionist was very peasant and completed my first process very easily.
When I drove around to the rear to unload, the young man who greeted me, wasted no time in assisting me. They even took old magazines and some books without hard covers.
Excellent "FREE" service. Plus, they are keeping a lot of paper out of the Landfill.
Challenge Enterprises offers a great service to our community, a shredding service for individuals. I have toured their facility and know this is a safe and well-protected service offered free of charge (donations gladly accepted). Contact Challenge Enterprises for days, times and other details.
The ability to dispose of personal papers that need to be shredded/destroyed is needed by everyone at some time or other. To be able to do this at no cost is even better. The personnel at the collection area were very helpful, not only with the registration, but the actual transfer of my large amount of personal papers that needed shredding. They did it all!!! Kudos to the entire Challenge Enterprises of North Florida, Inc operation.
I have used the Shred for Good by Challenge Enterprises of NFL service for many years. I truly appreciate the service they provide and that they do these services while providing a wonderful environment for those with disabilities to enjoy a fulfilling job. Each time I go to the office everyone is extremely friendly and helpful! Thank you so much for all you do!
