International Green Industry Hall Of Fame

The International Green Industry Hall of Fame does an amazing job of honoring the pioneers in the corporate world who are making a real impact in improving the ways that business gets done while taking into account how they can vastly improve their environmental impact so that we can all live a better world going forward.

I have been associated with IGIHOF since 2008 and it is a wonderful organization lead by great people. the process is totally free to the public and is not a pay-to-play organization. Truly a role model for others.

I was inducted in 2015 for doing extensive environmental communication and education work, decarbonizing my small business, organizing productive meetings of diverse experts, and other activities. What I discovered, is that IGIHOF brings together some of the most inspiring entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs, adn market leaders in highly engaging ways. Many inductees are passionate about gathering with other green business leaders, sharing experiences, and helping young people learn, grow, and make connections to build and guide their careers. The Hall of Fame roster is impressive and influential. More importantly, IGIHOF often organizes first-rate educational and networking conferences to support the next generation of environmental leaders in the business community.

In my time working with IGIHOF, I realized just how dedicated they are to their mission. All of their members are directly involved in picking companies, organizations, or individuals that contribute to the green industry. Their presentation as an organization is becoming increasingly better and any awarded recognition from them has true merit for those that receive it. Everyone should take the opportunity to see the work they have done.

IGIHOF has created a wonderful resource and community for people and businesses working in the sustainability space. I am lucky enough to have been nominated to the Hall of Fame, I have attended events, and now serve on a board. From these various perspectives I see opportunities for new and long-time participants in sustainability and green ventures to share their experiences, knowledge , and connections. There is great energy, enthusiasm, commitment, and ideas to be found in IGIHOF!

IGIHOF is an indelible organization and resource in the promotion of people and organizations that are impactful first-movers in their industry for the green space. As a business educator in higher-education and researcher of social enterprises, IGIHOF offers opportunities for students to better understand the major players in the social economy. Businesses that are incorporating the triple-line business model should be celebrated and recognized--IGIHOF is doing that!

I have been to many IGIHOF events where I have met some amazing people and organizations doing great things in industry while recognizing the triple bottom line, and not just for profit, but to make a difference through sustainability. I was introduced to IGIHOF when the organization recognized the company I worked for, Sunrun. I learned that their mission is to help increase awareness through recognition of individuals and businesses which are at the forefront of creating solutions to help our world be more sustainable. Moreover, the creation of a virtual "Hall of Fame" gives the organization a chance to memorialize many of the key early leaders who have had an impact on our society wide transition to a more sustainable energy, transportation, agriculture, and much more. Nominate a business or individual today and together we can continue to build momentum toward Green Solutions for our beautiful world.

Igihof is an admirable organization that helps promote people who contributed to making the earth more green and a healthier environment, many people don't give enough recognition to these people. It’s a step in the right direction.

Since its inception, the International Green Industry Hall of Fame has received over 300 nominations from the general public and inducted 78 individuals and organizations. Nominations are free and open the global community. IGIHOF is 100% volunteered based grassroots organization, which receives its funding from public donations. The annual induction ceremony and conferences have traditionally been held on college and high school campuses exposing local communities to the world-class industrial sustainability community.
