I had the pleasure of working and performing with Silentwoods collective in May of 2022 as well as in December of 2021. These are two of my favorite experiences performing in Boston so far. What makes this organization so exceptional are their innovative concert programs and high level of musicianship. Being able to perform pieces that haven’t been heard live in concert in the US before is beyond an awesome experience. They put a lot of effort in to bringing the public unknown and underrepresented music as well as old time favorites. I really appreciate the philosophy and goals of this organization and highly recommend supporting them. Wonderful people, excellent musicians and amazing music.
As a Historical Performance Baroque violin student at Longy School of Music of Bard College, I had the privilege of playing in the Silentwoods Collective's The East of the Sun West of the Moon concert of Scandinavian Baroque and early Classical repertoire in May 2022. I was greatly impressed by the professional quality of this performance and greatly enjoyed being a part of it. The musicians in this organization are conservatory-trained and were a pleasure to work with. They are very dedicated to bringing high-quality performances of both famous and little-known classical music to the community, including world premieres. I highly recommend supporting this wonderful organization!
I volunteered with Silentwoods Collective in May 2022 and we put on a wonderful concert of Scandinavian music, including the New World premiere of Maria Aurora von Konigsmarck's sacred cantata. As of November, I now serve on the board and am thrilled to continue Silentwood's vision - to make inspiring live performances commonplace!
