Operation Once in a Lifetime help us out right when we needed it. We have 4 children and for quite some time now we had been struggling in what seemed like an impossible uphill battle. This past Christmas we felt we were in a financial rut and there just didn't seem anyway out. That right when we learn who OOIAL is. They provided the kids with a fun evening and as a bonus we left with an awesome gift that would enable us to buy Christmas for the girls and not worry about which bills were not going to get paid. Unknown to them just that act of kindness gave us renewed hope and lead to us making some tough choices, better financial decisions, and we have come full circle. Our family is 100% on top of the world and can now turn around and through OOIAL we hope to help other families and soldiers out.
This organization really came through for me more than once. I would not have been able to be around when my daughter was diagnosed with a genetic disorder called Fanconi Anemia. Patrick and his whole group have gone far above and beyond to help me and my family in great times of need. I have also been more than happy to donate back what money I could and my time in order to get out the word for this wonderful and selfless group of volunteers. What a wonderful world this would be if there were more people like everyone that is involved with Operation Once In A Lifetime.
What a find! I LOVE that Patrick has set up the local resale shop for our soldiers. I was able to volunteer there to help them get organized, and now have made it a regular on my route to go in and check out the goodies. I'm grateful of their service to our soldiers and their families. I always smile when I go there and look forward to running into a serviceman or woman so I can say thanks. I'm very grateful to Operation Once in a Lifetime for all they do for our soldiers every day. Love the shop! Love the organization!
I had the opportunity to experience the generous love behind Operation Once in a Lifetime when a very good friend of mine asked if I would like to help with organizing their store for soliders and their families. I have never seen people work so hard for such a great cause. The greatest thing I realized is all the blood, sweat and tears that fall to make sure these amazing people that fight for our country are always helped if they are in need. I know of a few other people that have had events to support the charity and have seen first hand the feeling these hero's get when Operation Once in a Lifetime shares its amazing heart. This nonprofit organization is one of the best and I always encourage everyone I know to voluteer their time there when they can, just to experience their amazing work first hand.
This is a wonderful group that really cares for the soldiers. Our family knows from personal experience what a tremendous blessing that they are to the military!!!!! They helped grant our wish for a handicap accessible van for our daughter that was born with Spina Bifida and has multiple complex medical issues. We would have never been been able to afford this and it helps my husband when he deploys again, not to have to worry about us. I highly recommend Operation Once In A Lifetime!!!!!!
Operation once in a lifetime is indeed an amazing organization that helps men and women in the armed forces and their precious children and families. First I heard, then I saw, then I believed, finally I got involved. I heard & saw the needs, then I got involved and after reading the results I believed. OOIAL impacted so many precious human beings who are or have been fighting for our very freedom.
Operation Once in a Lifetime took me and other injured warriors to a Steelers football game and it was an amazing exprience. They have brought furniture for some of our soldiers as well assisted soldiers with medical for their children. I have been able to help with toy drives and they really do care about us.
This is an organization that helps soldiers of any branch, rank and need. They help from the heart and the volunteers all have regular full time jobs. I've been working for them for over a year and have seen great things done to help the US military.
Operation Once in a Lifetime is make a wish foundation for soldiers, all soldiers and vetrans. They do things really matter, not just for the soldier but their families.
This is a wonderful charity serving soldiers who need our help. I have been to a couple fundraisers for this organization, and met some of the people they have helped. Best of all, they have almost no administrative overhead, so pretty much every penny donated goes to help soldiers as far as I could tell. I also liked the fact that the soldiers are able to get help with such a wide variety of issues, from unpaid utilities and medical bills, to plane tickets to attend a funeral, to small things like toiletries and bed linens. I think the fact that this is a small group that operates from the heart of it's founder allows them to be very responsive to soldier's needs.
