Review for Veterans Airlift Command, Saint Louis Park, MN, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I am a Soldier who has served in Iraq on a couple of occasions. I am currently with the Warrior Transition Unit at Fort Hood, Tx. VAC and some of its wonderful volunteer pilots flew me, my wife, and two boys home to New Jersey to visit my parents for the first time since my surgery. It was the most wonderfull experience I have had in recent memory. Everyone was so helpfull, accomadating, and pleasant. They gave of their time and aircrafts just to thank me, yet I am the one who should thank them. I hope they realize just how much joy they brought to me. Seeing my mom and dad along with all of my nieces and nephews gave me a memory that will last a lifetime.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

I not only got to visit my family, but I also met a lot of wonderfull people.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Meeting new people and seeing my family.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

I met several pilots and co-pilots.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Provide every wounded warrior with a visit home.

Review for Operation Once in a Lifetime, Allen, TX, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Operation Once in a Lifetime took me and other injured warriors to a Steelers football game and it was an amazing exprience. They have brought furniture for some of our soldiers as well assisted soldiers with medical for their children. I have been able to help with toy drives and they really do care about us.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

They have taken me to multiple sporting events with other wounded veterans. I have also witnessed this organization purchasing a handicapped vehicle for a wounded soldeir.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Give tham more money so they could expand their efforts.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

They truly care about soldiers and their families.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

The Prsident and administrative assistant.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Continue to provide bedding to soldiers returning from Iraq.

Ways to make it better...

It was already a Once in a lifetime event.

One thing I'd also say is that...

I am blessed to have known these wonderful people.

About every month
