Target demographics: provide the South Asian community with tools for a stronger, healthier, and safer South Asian Community!!

Direct beneficiaries per year: 220 adult and children survivors of family and sexual violence, 125 agencies, 80 community members seeking supportive services, trained over 130 law enforcement officers and criminal justice professionals

Someone who had 3 hours of volunteer time could: Sort Raksha donations, put up Raksha posters/brochures in South Asian shopping areas, set up a table at an outreach/community event

Providing culturally specific clothing and food to our clients

Mission:
To promote a stronger and healthier South Asian community through confidential support services, education and advocacy.
Results:
Raksha is the only social service agency providing services for the South Asian community. Raksha has been doing this since 1995.

Over 20,000 calls and 3,000 individuals have been helped.
Since we turned on our phones and opened our doors, Raksha has touched the lives of thousands of South Asians within Atlanta with counseling services, advocacy, and education.


Raksha’s staff has been recognized nationally and locally. Most recently, the Executive Director was named a White House Champion of Change and Georgia’s Asian’s Times Most Influential Asian Americans in Georgia. Raksha staff and volunteers have participated in over 350 Local, State, and National training programs. Raksha has some of the most skilled professionals in the Country.
