Mission: The Post-Polio Resource Group of Southeastern Wisconsin (PPRG) was formed in 1985 by a group of polio survivors who were experiencing new symptoms of pain, weakness, fatigue, and breathing problems. The purpose of the group is to provide information and support to polio survivors and their families and to educate the medical community and the general public about post-polio syndrome (PPS).
We are supported by $10/yr membership dues and other small donations and grants. With this we sponsor 6 informative group meetings yearly, publish a quarterly newsletter, provide for group counseling sessions, maintain a web site, and assist members in obtaining adaptive medical equipment.
