Mill River Collaborative Inc. Overview
Programs: DEVELOPMENT. Mill River Collaborative is coordinating the development of the park. Our Executive Director is the project manager, who with the strong support of our board, coordinates all levels of government and the private sector in the planning, design, funding and construction of the project.FUNDING. Typically, the Collaborative raises 70% to 90% of its operating budget through private contributions from corporations, foundations and individuals. The Collaborative is planning a capital campaign to raise up to one third of the capital required for the park's construction and is building an endowment to fund ongoing maintenance at a standard that the municipal budget cannot support on its own.PROGRAMMING. The Collaborative runs programs that engage citizens in the use of the park, funded by private contributions. OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE. The Collaborative is negotiating a contract with the City of Stamford to manage the park's development, operation and maintenance.
