Lime Hollow’s mission is to provide year-round environmental education and recreation opportunities through utilization and protection of the natural attributes of the Lime Hollow area. Our goals are to:
* Assist people in the development of environmental awareness, appreciation,
knowledge, commitment and skills
* Provide low-impact, nature-based recreation opportunities
* Protect, through employment of wise-use management techniques, an ecologically diverse and unique natural and aquifer recharge area currently known as Lime Hollow.
This ongoing Lime Hollow program affords pre-schoolers and their parents the opportunity to connect with nature. Employing Lime Hollow's own "Art of Mentoring" approach to outdoor education, children learn about the importance, beauty, and richness of the outdoors through stories, crafts, songs, finger-plays, journaling, nature games, and trail walks.
