Mission: Currently the organization is providing cottonwood classical preparatory charter school with financial assistance for its students and faculty. The organization also assists the school by being a conduit for financing school property.
Programs: The organization provides funds to cottonwood classical preparatory school's international baccalaureate program, its teachers educational support program, and its teacher professional development program. The programs benefit approximately 530 students (grades 6 to 12) and 50 teachers.
to provide cottonwood classical preparatory school (ccps) additional educational assistance, the organization entered into an agreement with them to act as a facilitator/conduit to acquire a permanent school facility. The agreement states that once a permanent facility is purchased, the organization will provide it to ccps pursuant to a lease-purchase arrangement. The facility was ready, and ccps began leasing, on july 1, 2013. This arrangement was necessary because charter schools in new mexico cannot own encumbered property. Ccps and the organization obtained approval and support from the state of new mexico school board for this purchase and financing transaction since ccps could not own property subject to a lien.
