Review for Partnership With Native Americans, Addison, TX, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Thanks to the generous time spent with Laura and Kelly at National Relief Charities, our site visit last year was a wonderful experience. All involved in the visit were knowledgeable and sensitive to those they serve. Since there was a great amount of territory to cover, our time was carefully orchestrated in remote areas of South Dakota. The H.O.M.E. Foundation partnered with NRC to assist volunteers in delivering groceries to Elders on the Rosebud Reservation. The Breakfast in a Bag Program volunteers not only provide food, but nourish the souls of isolated Elders in the community. As Elders become less visible in our society, NRC has not forgotten the four Lakota values of respect, courage, wisdom and generosity. The H.O.M.E. Foundation has invited NRC to submit a proposal for 2011 in honor of Native American Elders.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

being sensative, knowlegeable, compassionate and professional to the most vulnerable elder population.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
