Review for Learning And Tutoring Center Of East Austin, Austin, TX, USA
Charles and I formed the Learning and Tutoring Center of East Austin (LTCEA) because we wanted to share some of our resources to give back to our community. When Charles was constructing the building that houses the center, we were still tossing around ideas of what to do with the building once it was finished. One thing we knew for sure was that we wanted to benefit our community in some way. We could have opened a "for profit" business, but this would not satisfy our intentions of giving back. Our experience with tutoring children since 2009 in reading, math and writing has motivated us to improve on our services. We appreciate the difference we're making in our East Austin community.
More Feedback
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
...seeing children benefit from our Summer Enrichment Tutoring Program. At the end of our sessions I've documented the progress of children with learning difficulties, especially in reading. It's also great to see that our volunteers feel rewarded for the valuable time they contribute.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
...improve on recruitment of volunteers in the areas of academics and our strategy to seek potential donors. Charles and I don't mind at all the part that we play to keep our mission alive for the benefit of our community's children, but we need more support.
