SLS, a concept pioneered by PlanetRead is aimed at increasing the literacy levels in India. It uses the idea of subtitling lyrics of film songs on TV, in the ‘same’ language that they are sung.

I’ve personally experienced the results of this organization in seeing how children get interested to listen to film songs, read the SLS and sing along and their want for more songs thus making them read more without them knowing that they are increasing their level of literacy.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would help PlanetRead increase their publicity through media and try to have SLS in more TV channels and programmes.
