Review for Cancer Schmancer Foundation, Malibu, CA, USA
The Cancer Schmancer Movement is the best foundation I've found. It encourages women to take control of their body and listen to what it's telling them. And alot of foundations are created by people that haven't had cancer and don't understand what the people they're trying to help are going through and feeling. Cancer Schmancer isn't. Fran Drescher is the perfect leader for Cancer Schmancer. She knows what we are going through and she knows exactly what to do to help us,(because she is a Uterian Cancer survivor herself)And she's a woman who isn't ready to give up.... And as a girl that has a family with a HUGE history of cancer, knowing just that is a such relief. The CSM, and Fran, are SO wonderful. They not only teach women how to detect early warning signs of cancer, but they support early dection as well. When Fran talks about Cancer Schmancer, you not only WANT to listen, but you learn SO much that can be SO helpful. What Fran tought about early detection, helped my mom figure out that she had systs on her overies. And only being 14, and knowing what to look for for early warning signs for cancer, feels like standing on the top of the world. There is no reason or excuse that The Cancer Schmancer Movement shouldn't be the non-profit foundation to have the 2009 Cancer Fighters award.
More Feedback
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
Many women have had the benifit of being able to be diagnosed with cancer in the early stages instead of the late stages.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Do exactly ehat Fran Drescher is doing.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
The fun in learning about it and what it does. Fran Drescher makes it easy to understand and she makes you want to learn more.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Do even more that it's doing now.(if that's possible) They could do more research, and reach out to more women around the country and world.
Ways to make it better...
I don't think there is a way to make Cancer Schmancer better.
