We receive bears on a regular basis from the Assistance League of Kansas City. It is wonderful to be able to give the bear to a child (sometimes adults) who are scared or in pain.

It is really nice to be able to provide the bears to the patients that come to the Emergency Department. No one wants to come to the ER especially children. Having the bears available is wonderful, it really helps us look less like the bad guys after we have to drraw blood or perform other procedures. The bears are comforting, gives them something to hold onto or squeeze, or provide distraction.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Nothing-I wouldn't change anything. The Assistance League does a great job!
