Review for CJ Acres Animal Rescue Farm, Keystone Heights, FL, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I have had the good fortune to be associated and board member/officer of many non-profit organizations over the past 20 years. In that time you get a feel for the quality organizations that live and believe in their purpose and those that are there for all the wrong reasons. CJ Acres is one of those quality organizations that lives for their purpose. The founding members and caretakers of CJ Acres have a passion for the lucky animals who are fortunate to be adopted. The organization realizes that they are all about the animals and making their lifes better. Another unique feature is CJ Acres addresses the plight of needy farm animals. There are lots of worthy organzations that take care of domestic pets, wild animals and endangered species but very few that provide a safe haven for abused, neglected or needy farm animals. CJ Acres meets that need. Through donations and volunteer time CJ Acres can continue to grow and make a difference in the lifes of farm animals that need a caring and nurturing environment.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

The commitment and care of adopted animals.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

follow in the foot steps of the current founders.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the devotion and commitment by the founders and the Board of Directors.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

strongly committed and devoted to the cause of animals and their quality of life

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Be a grass roots organization that spreads its good through out the country in saving and enhancing the lifes of abused & neglected animals while also providing education that could help to stop the conditions these animals have had to endure.

Ways to make it better...

I had more time to devote to the cause - there is never enough time.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

the gross amount of abuse and lack of respect people can have toward animals, the need to raise funds to help more animals and the over producing of animals that our society then feels are disposable.

One thing I'd also say is that...

CJ Acres needs the support and donations of individuals who believe all animals should be treated in a humane manner.

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2009
