Review for Child Crisis Arizona, Mesa, AZ, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I have worked at Crisis Nursery for four years and feel like part of a family. This organization goes out of its way to meet the needs of the community and strives to keep families together and children safe.
When a need for day respite was noted in the community to help parents on a temporary basis while they look for a job or a shelter or a attend a class, Crisis Nursery created a program to meet that need. Crisis Nursery took the initiative to apply for an Early Head Start program and change their daycare program to become focused on Early Childhood Development, while also providing parents with resources and children with explosive behaviors positive techniques to cope with their anger and sadness. Crisis Nursery's foster care department goes out of their way to provide individualized care to our foster parents to ensure that they are receiving the support they need while caring for children in the DES/CPS system. Included in this are care packages for newly placed children, monthly support groups, attending meetings/court with the foster parents, monthly home visits, and regular trainings. Crisis Nursery cares about their clients and their employees.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

helping to develop a Visitation Program and Foster Care Program over the past four years and seeing the way the organization comes together to support one another and help out the community.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

increase funding so that employees can have raises and our programs can further expand.

Role:  Professional with expertise in this field & I work in the Foster Care Department.
