Review for The Oral Cancer Foundation, Santa Fe, NM, USA
When my husband was originally diagnosed in 2006 with oral cancer I had little information on this particular cancer. You hear a lot about breast cancer and lung cancer, ovarian cancer but little on head and neck cancer. I spent some time googling to find information about what we were up against and came across the Oral Cancer Foundation website. It has been a lifeline to my husband in his darkest hours to have their forums to talk to others that are going through or gone through what he was going through physically and emotionally. I offered support where I could and how I could but unless you have been there, it is hard to understand. The articles and up to date info has kept us more up to date than any other source available. I thank God my husband still walks this good earth with me and for the Oral Cancer Foundation.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
The information on oral cancer, their support forums, and Brian who personally responds to many questions has been the best thing that happened to us after Bill was diagnosed with oral cancer.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
I would change nothing from my point of view.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
The information and support available.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
I stayed in the background and just researched information available on this site.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Keep up their great work on supporting patients during this cancer, reach more people about it. As I said before, you hear about the other cancers but head and neck cancer is a killer cancer that needs to be brought to the attention of the public.
Ways to make it better...
As the wife of an oral cancer survivor, I turned to OCF many times for information on oral cancer.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
Money to get the word out to dentists and other health care providers and certainly the general public to better educate them on finding the cancer in its earliest stage which gives the best chance for a cure.
One thing I'd also say is that...
Cure all cancers. Keep up the good work OCF and a huge thanks for everything.
