In the past, during the Christmas Season, I have donated animals and agricultural products to my friends and family. Before I donate, I always check the Charity Navigator Website to verify Project Expenses vs. Administration and Fund Raising costs. Your organization meets expectaions in this regard, however the President's salary is too high.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
lower the salary of the President for Heifer Project International. I have noticed on Charity Navigator's Website numerous charitible organizations' CEO's earn over $250,000. Mr Luck received $265,360 in compensation and this appears to me to be out of line with the mission of the charity. The Governor of California's salary is $173,987. This year, 2011, I have chosen to give my donations to charities whose CEO's receive a more reasonable salary.
