The information the Oral Cancer Foundation website offers is invaluable. I wished I had known about it two years earlier, it may have made a difference. Not realizing how aggressive this cancer is, my sister may have chosen a different option for treatment than she did. Unfortunately, she did not survive, but the support we received from this site made the process of this evil cancer easier to deal with. Being able to get and give advice and sharing knowledge is so important. Insights and remedies in dealing with all the numerous side effects of the radiation, chemo and surgery were extremely helpful. Usually more helpful than what the medical/hospital staff offered. This is a cancer that is spreading and starting to affect the younger population in greater numbers. I always recommend it to any one I know of who is fighting this cancer, the information is so valuable and the support from this site so wonderful (especially at the most difficult time on one's life, whether as a caregiver or victim of cancer).
