Review for Rockville Pregnancy Center, Inc., Rockville, MD, USA
I am a former volunteer counselor at Rockville Pregnancy Center. (have moved out of the area ) Two examples stick out in my mind from my time at Rockville.
First was a married Korean couple who came in at the recommendation of a friend. They had two children already and the husband had just lost his job. They said they did not agree with abortion, but they were scared and really saw no other option. When they learned of the the ways that Rockville Pregnancy Center could help and of the community resources we could refer them to, they were grateful and gave birth to their daughter six months later.
Second, was a married Chinese couple, not considering abortion, but just came in for the free pregnancy test. When I gave them a Christian tract along with other materials I was sharing, they showed interest. It turns out they had been invited to a church by friends, had attended three times, and had lots of questions. All they really needed was a clear presentation of the gospel of Jesus Christ. They both prayed to receive Jesus as their savior and left rejoicing in both their pregnancy and their new life in Christ.
