Review for Adaptive Sports Foundation Inc, Windham, NY, USA
The Adaptive Sports Foundation is an amazing organization who generally cares about those they serve. I am a wounded warrior whose been blessed to attend 2 of their summer Wounded Warrior Events. Not only are the people so giving of themselves, they genuinely make me feel invincible. They recognize our limited abilities and do not pressure participants to do anything they don't feel comfortable with. My family has been able to enjoy this opportunity with me and it was literally the best time we've had together. Both my son and wife have learned to kayak now, giving us a sport and outdoor activity we can enjoy together. Cherisse, the director (not sure of her proper title), is the sweetest, most selfless, client-centered person I have ever met. I feel as if she really cares about our - the warriors - happiness and comfort. I felt, both times, as if everyone there was to ensure our happiness. From their volunteers to their staff, everyone gets to know you, befriend you, and build lifelong bonds regardless of your disability or differences. How do you explain such a life-altering organization? I simply cannot find the words.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
my self-confidence, willingness to be in groups, and my overall well-being. I don't attend events or seek out opportunities for wounded warriors, but I look forward to the opportunity to rejoin them.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
change nothing. If I had more money I would donate it to them to help them improve as they see fit as they are obviously the experts! They are phenomenal!
