I am a retired educator from the Los Angeles Unified School District. I began to volunteer with Parent Institute for Quality Education (PIQE) as a facilitator for parent workshops the year that I retired - 2008. I have worked with them ever since and am consistently struck by their professionalism and their dedication to providing parents with practical, usable tools so that they may assist their children on their academic path. Another aspect of the organization that is especially impressive is the dedication to the academic success and college trajectory of students whose parents they serve. PIQE is continually re-evaluating their program based on parent input and changing requirements.

Investigate additional ways to publicize the efforts and success of the PIQE Program to more school principals (who have to agree to pay for the program).
