Review for Giving It Back to Kids, Huntington Beach, CA, USA
GIving It Back To Kids focuses on the children of Vietnam, although it helped transform my life - a middle aged man from Southern California.
For years I received emails on the great work being done by GIBTK's. It sounded great but I was disconnected... attempting to assess their effectiveness from the safety of a nice office and comfortable life. So I took the opportunity to join them on a trip to Vietnam, which changed everything.
Although well traveled, this trip stripped me of my agenda and placed me square into an endeavor that ventured into the toughest places to touch those with the greatest need. There was nothing institutional or disconnected about it. Everything about GIBTK's demonstrates a loving, personal heart that deeply cares.
This trip recalibrated my life. After seeing the difference a few can make to so many, returning to the same of life of business pursuits lost its luster.
