Review for Family Giving Tree, Milpitas, CA, USA
For the last couple of years, the company I work for has hosted the holiday gift drive in our office, then the admin group volunteers in the warehouse. We are in such awe at the generosity of all who work so hard to make the holidays a special time for the children in the Bay Area. The Family Giving Tree works so tirelessly to help these children with the holiday wish drive as well as the Back to School Backpack drive. It's been great to have a small part in helping the children of our community. There is nothing greater than seeing the pictures of all the smiling children that have been helped by the Family Giving Tree. We can't wait to help out again this year!

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Let us have more volunteer time!
Would you volunteer for this group again?
Definitely
For the time you spent, how much of an impact did you feel your work or activity had?
A lot
Did the organization use your time wisely?
Very Well
Would you recommend this group to a friend?
Definitely
What one change could this group make that would improve your volunteer experience?
More volunteer time instead of just 2 hrs, once you get going you don't want to stop!
Did your volunteer experience have an effect on you? (teaching you a new skill, or introducing new friends, etc.)
Yes, it made me more conscious about the less fortunate children in the area. Before volunteering with the FamilyGiving Tree, I had not taken the time to volunteer any where else. Now, I can't wait for the Back To School Drive and the Holiday Wish Drive to begin. I believe so much in their cause that I now coordinate the drives among my co-workers
How did this volunteer experience make you feel?
No words can describe how it feels to help children in need, to make their day a little more special. Also I could never imagine not sending my children to school without the proper equipment, so it means everything to me to make sure other children have the same opportunity as mine.
When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
