I have known about PIQE for years now and have volunteered in their San Diego office. Throughout my college career I was always amazed as to how PIQE targets a community which is often overlooked, minority parents and the tremendous impact they have in the professional success of their children. I have extensively worked to help underprivileged youth achieve higher education goals through mentorship programs and community outreach, but the parents are a big part of the educational journey of minority students. As a future educator I have seen the impact that parents have in the lives of my students and PIQE is one of the programs which helps students and their families achieve the success they deserve.
