As a Board member, I am grateful for the efforts of Mamou Health Resources staff and medical professionals. These programs have helped a great number of people who otherwise cannot get medical checkups, prescription medication, and counseling for their particular illnesses.

What is this organization's top short-term priority?
Providing the needed medical and prescription medication services to each and every qualified (poor and uninsured) community member who seek our services.
What is its top priority in the long run?
Reducing, with the goal of eliminating, disparities in health care delivery. Preventing costly and life-threatening complications from diseases, such as diabetes, and lowering heatlh care costs in the long run, by providing health care, disease management and education, prescription medication and other ancillary services before the disease becomes complicated and more difficult to manage. Another top priority is to obtain adequate funds to continue to expand the capacity of the programs as more and more qualified individuals seek the services provided by this organization.
