My son started as a camper with Camp Northstar and now is a CIT. I can not begin to tell you how much the Camp has helped him in his self-esteem and in his personal growth. He looks forward to going, it is his time to himself and he is allowed to be who he is without ridicule. He does not have the luxury of this every day. All his life he has had to overcome obstacles and criticism. Camp Northstar allows him to shine and he finds he has a purpose and always comes back home with some new experience and can't wait until it is time to go back. I look forward to Family day and seeing all the campers and volunteers. They always appear to being having a good time but at the same time they are learning about each other and themselves. Camp was one of the turning points in my son's life. I feel very luck to have my son involved in it and it is a positive experience for anyone who gets involved. I
