Review for Brazilian Arts Foundation, Houston, TX, USA
A couple of years ago, a friend was taking classes here - samba, Portugese and capoiera (sp?). She was so taken with the teachers and talked about them with such fondness that I decided (after seeing a Brazilian film and falling in love with the language) to take a class. I have to agree whole-heartedly. It has felt like becoming part of a family. The Portugese teacher, Terese, has to be the most patient woman in the universe. Not only is she a gifted teacher but is also a lovely human being. The director, Mauricio, is energetic, always up-beat, kind and generous. I will finish by saying that if I win the lottery, they would be the first recipient of a donation. Since that is probably not going to happen, I will continue as a student there indefinitely!
