Review for Parent Institute For Quality Education Inc, National City, CA, USA
I came in contact with PIQE through a professional colleague who spoke so enthusiastically about the organization that I decided to accept an invitation to one of the parent graduations. I immediately understood what all the hype was about. The graduating speeches were powerful and moving. These parent had become empowered to be apart of their kids education, and more. Often it was the only graduation these parent had been a part of. It was a very positive environment and families were all very proud of the parents that completed the program.

I worked with a group of parents before and after some of them had participated in PIQE's program and the difference was very apparent. Upon graduating they felt more confident to become engaged and tackle issues facing their community head on.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
I would make the program more affordable to schools so they choose to participate and maybe even make it available to other groups of parents without being affiliated to a school. Also, I would improve PIQE's name recognition. I do realize, however, that this would require significant funds.
