Review for Partnership With Native Americans, Addison, TX, USA
I continue to serve as a volunteer with PWNA and have for nearly two decades as a member of the scholarship selection committee with the American Indian Education Fund. I have had the opportunity to support thousands of Native American students across the country and in various stages of their academic journey. Our selection committee members bring a wealth of experience and represent various tribes throughout the USA. Our committee has developed a very refined and successful process that has resulted in a 90% -95% retention rate.
The wonderful team at PWNA also provide personal and academic support for scholarship recipients, and send out personal care packages during the school year. In addition, phone calls, texts or direct messages let our students know how much we care about both their personal and academic success. These personal touches make a huge difference in our students lives and show we are willing to share in their journey.
Furthermore, PWNA is committed to growing a trusted, sustainable, and American Indian/Alaska Native led non-profit. Our CEO and the majority of the Board of Directors are tribal members. The future success of Indian country relies on the next generation of leaders, providers, and a well-trained workforce. I believe PWNA is delivering!

Review for Partnership With Native Americans, Addison, TX, USA
As a volunteer over the past eight years, I have experienced many lives changed by the generosity of donors and the committed, passionate staff of NRC. The volunteer work focuses on providing scholarship support and mentoring for American Indian/Alaskan Native students. What impressed me most was the type of students we targeted. The student type we targeted for AIEF included students who are often in the margins and seldom receive scholarship support. The success and retention of these students speaks for itself. Thank you donors, NRC and AIEF for making a difference in these students lives.
