I have been with this organization for over 8 years and sponsor a girl in Uganda. There is so much more involved when choosing an organization than the 20% fee. The focus is who you are helping and what difference you are making in a life or community. I found them to excel in communicating with me about my sponsored child. There was a war going on in Uganda and they were able to contact the family and tell me they were safe. Yes, I get letters from my sponsored child but also from the Community Leaders and they put me in their small newsletter. They respond very fast. I've donated money that I wanted just for my sponsor childs community. They contacted them to find the need and quickly got back to me with what they would use it for. Within 2 months I had a letter with pictures in my hands of the Trade School they built and sewing machines and wood working equipment we bought. I had pictures of students. I get updates on how many graduates there are yearly. Also in special gifts to my sponsor child communication and action are very fast. With my sponsorship my child is becoming a nurse. What if I let the 20% stand in my way? Her life would be very different. They gave me the conduit to make a difference in the world. Isn't that the focus?

Through the photos and letters from Community Leaders in Uganda as well as my sponsor child telling me what a difference I have made. They are graduating 28 students a year from the tailoring program I sponsored and it's been 3 years. I'd say they get great results!

Build the admin fee for small gifts under $100 into another cost. I do think it's fair for large gifts to be charged the 20%. How hard it must be to research, order, pay shipping, and receive all they needed because I wanted to built a trade school. That money has to come from somewhere and would not have been needed if not for my request.
