Review for Mission4Maureen, South Euclid, OH, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Mission4Maureen is an awesome & supportive organization. They stepped in during a very challenging time in my life & assisted with my mortgage. After my 2nd Brain Tumor Removal surgery in June,2008, I was in the hospital for almost a month recovering and basically learning to walk all over again. The planner that I am, I simply did not expect nor could effectively plan for the length of time that I would be away from my job on medical leave. The decline of the economy happened at the same time. My husband and daughter were in a severe car accident 5 days after my surgery and they are both still recovering. As a result, my husband has not been able to add to the family income. 33 consecutive days of radiation daily at a distance of 66 miles roundtrip to the hospital was costly. It saved my life but added to everything else on my family's plate. I decided to write to mission4maureen for financial asssistance. I could relate to Maureen's story as a mom. It broke my heart to learn that unfortunately she lost her battle with her brain tumor. That and my faith in God fueled me to do everything I can to get back to being myself to be more of an asset to my family, as we are not promised tomorrow. This whole experience has been an unanticipated humbling one. Through needing help through my recovery, and ultimately needing help financially. They helped with us catch up our mortgage. I will be forever grateful. Once am released to return to work, which WILL happen, I feel obligated to make a contribution to Mission4Maureen to help another family.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

The financial assistance they provided to me and my family.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

..There are organizations out there to assist you during difficult times.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

..very organized and followed up accordingly.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Get the word out that they exist and assist more families.

Ways to make it better...

If I were making a donation instead of being a recipient.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

financial support/donations

One thing I'd also say is that...

Thank You to them, once again.

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
