In recognition of the literacy tools and resources families & students need for the 21st century, the Reading Tub has rolled out a piece of its business model that it had anticipated in 2003. Now, the organization is successfully incorporating reviews and analysis of digitally-based resources at a time when others are trying to figure out their "direction" for the future.

The Reading Tub(r) started in 2003 as a hobby and is now the centerpiece of a family literacy initiative that spans the country ... from the families who review to us to the Teens who help their peers find books to the authors and publishers who help us reach at-risk readers .. to Share a Story~Shape a Future, our annual literacy blog tour. It's all about raising readers together.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
watching a nonreader become a book lover. We place books in Title I classrooms where students are reading below grade level. These are the kids who "hate reading." So when a student connects with a book and wants another one, it is cause for celebration.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
add interactive tools to the website that help parents better understand the reading process and also help them determine where there child is as a reader.
