I was a somewhat regular contributor to ABS until I investigated Charity Navigator. I was especially disappointed with the amount of compensation given to the two top men in the organization--several times my annual income. Why should I and others with lower incomes help support such amounts? I will feel good about contributing again when I hear that these men have cut their compensations in half. I also feel that too much is spent in fund raising. I receive too many mailings. I support the goal of ABS to get Bibles into the hands of everyone, but the organization is too top-heavy. A charity I strongly recommend Christian Aid Ministries. Check it out.
