Rating: 4 stars

FSW serves as a one-stop lifeline to clients with many needs and it achieves meaningful, lasting, positive change in people's lives. Its mission is to help individuals and familes become self-sufficient. The services include literacy, behavioral health, family assests, youth and deaf services.

Experiencing empty nest syndrome I decided to contact CCS to volunteer in whatever capacity and wherever I could be used. I went to Ghana and taught English, loved it so much I went back a couple of months later. Since that first experience I've done programs in India, China, Thailand, Tanzania with CCS. It changed my life and impacted my family in a wonderful way also. We've hosted friends I've made while working abroad and they've widen our horizions and opened our minds. I reccomend CCS to everyone who is lucky enough to have the time to do a program.

Review for The Connecticut Audubon Society, Inc., Fairfield, CT, USA

CAS has become an important part of our family's lives. Our children participated in programs there and now have their children happily taking part in programs suitable for their ages.

We now have many very good friends with whom we socialize after having met them through CAS and we enjoy attending the really fun fundraising events held throughout the year.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Walks through the sanctuaries, illustrative talks held at the centers, talks at the annual meetings, guided canoe trips through the marshs

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

put term limits on board officers

Role:  Donor & I've chaired a fundraising event for several years in a row; volunteered at the Eagle Festival for as long as it was held; participated in outdoor clean up days at the centers.
